Hey Guy's!
Does anyone know
where i can find a good free or payware FMC?
The free Honeywell FMC really sucks in my opinion, it won't allow me to program an entire flight plan.
Some way points altitudes, and speeds, simply can't be added, info is typed into the scratch pad.
When i hit the corresponding line nothing happens, i have to go on to the next way point. In many cases the entire end of the flight plan will be missing, no speeds and no altitudes added.
Furthermore, the Honeywell only controls speed and altitude, you must have GPS/NAV selected, in order for the aircraft to follow the route. Hope someone can help me out.

Anyone know where i can get the white, Kalitta Air 747-400F texture for the default aircraft?

Hey Guy's!
We have callouts for Boeing aircraft however, are their any airbus callouts online?:)

Hey Guy's!
I'm having a problem with some freeware 777-300er aircraft, the A/P system keeps disconnecting in flight.
Climb out, gear and flaps up, autopilot engaged all is going fine...Then suddenly A/P disengages during the climb and, this continues over and over again during the flight.
I love the panel the plane cones with but, I'm tired of the A/P issue.
My remedy is to change panel from another plane...Any answers to this problem?:)

Hey Gyu's.
Can someone please make sense of the installation, of the A320 FD-FMC with SID/STARS?
Don't know why this has to be so complicated, their is so much to read and figure out. Most of the instructions simply lead you to more pages of instructions, in the end none of what you red works in the aircraft. Example below.
What does this mean? Or where does it go?
C:\\Users\\Fdd\\Mes Documents\\Fichiers Flight Simulator X\\
//
// Please, edit the first line to create your path to access to flight simulator/P3D savegame folder.
// Path must be at the first line of the file.
// No leading or trailing space; All "" character must be doubled.
FMC_Path.ini
This was inside the FD-FMC Folder where the SID'S/STAR'S are...However their isn't a mention as to where it goes in the sim.
I've red all the novel's on FD-FMC installation and, each time i activate the panel no SID'S/STAR'S are seen.
This is very frustrating

Tried to install this panel however, it said a file was missing and, could not be installed.Oh the massage didn't say what file was missing....Rats!

Hey Guy's!
I'm having the hardest time configuring the PA A320 FD-FMC aircraft, the instructions seem to be confusing.
Opened up the FMC_Path.ini folder with notepad and found the following.
C:\\Users\\Fdd\\Mes Documents\\Fichiers Flight Simulator X\\
//
// Please, edit the first line to create your path to access to flight simulator/P3D savegame folder.
// Path must be at the first line of the file.
// No leading or trailing space; All "" character must be doubled.
What are the developers asking me to do here?
Opened up the Config_A32xFD-FMC.ini and found the fallowing.
ColdAndDark,1
AutoReset,1
mbar,1
WeightPounds,0
Meters,0
BlackBox,0
Again what do i do with this?
These instructions are pretty confusing, can you Guy's help me figure this out?

Hey Gyus.

The one i downloaded and added the texture to, did not show the aircraft.
This is the one i used...FSX TDS Boeing 727-200 Passenger Base Pack

Would like to fly both the ANA 727-200 advance aircraft and.the Korean 727-200 early aircraft.
However i can never figure out which base model to use.
Boeing 727-200 (Advanced)...Has 14 models to choose from.
Below are the other 7.
Now here are the Korean 727-200 early models below.
I can never figure out which model to use, all the rest of the installation i have down pat.
When downloading these models and textures, is their a way to tell what goes with what?
(Just by looking at them) Nothing in the readme files gives any clue, as to which one to use.
It gets very frustrating and time consuming making a choice.

Okay i didn't know these were textures meant for payware aircraft sim=DF and, panel=pax were errors. Alright got it guess I'm going to have to be careful, when choosing textures from now on.
Thanks
There are several references to non-existent files or folders, like
panel=pax
model=JT8D
sim=DF_722
The latter seems to be for Dreamfleet, not TDS btw.

Hey Guy's!
I downloaded the 727-200 Base model and, added a few textures to the model however aircraft won't show on menu.
Below is what i have added.
Below are the results of how i added the aircraft to the base model.

Did i do something something wrong here or, I'm i using the wrong base model for these textures?
If the base model is wrong what should i have used?
-
Looking for scenery for FZAA however, I'm using FSX and i was only able to find the scenery for 2004.
Would the 2004 scenery work in FSX?

Well as always great and helpful info.
I'm aware of how to trim the 737 but, not with the DC-8 panels. So i guess whats being said in response to my thread is..Don't change the payload or fuel load on the aircraft even though, it says the aircraft is overweight at takeoff.
Thanks again!
-
-
Yes here is the link.
https://simviation.com/hjg/aircraft2/douglas/dc-8-63f.htm
The aircraft is freeware Aeromexico Dc-8-63F
-
Ok i will try changing to 50% in all tanks, i usually change to 80% in all tanks.
I also change the payload to 0 as well, being that the aircraft is still over weight, when i change the fuel weight to 80%...I'll try 50% and see what happens.
Thanks.
-
Ok here is a snapshot of the weight and balance menu.
[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
reference_datum_position=0.000000,0.000000,0.000000
empty_weight_CG_position=5.000000,0.000000,-0.000000
empty_weight=149800.000000
empty_weight_roll_MOI=7837897.000000
empty_weight_pitch_MOI=15313596.000000
empty_weight_yaw_MOI=14379742.000000
empty_weight_coupled_MOI=1300.000000
max_gross_weight=355000.000000
All of my DC-8's in the HJG series are over weight before takeoff. I change the payload to 0 and, aircraft is still overweight so, i have to change the fuel weight as well.
What can i change in above menu to get aircraft to rotate at 140kts?
Here are my takeoff settings.
Full power.
Flaps @ 14.
Not sure how to trim default freeware aircraft.
Nose up @ 160kts
Vertical speed 1400.
I usually hand fly aircraft up to 10,000 before engaging AP and altitude hold.
Aircraft fly's out nicely after that, with AP altitude and auto-throttle hold on.
Checking W&B makes sense but i don't know what to change in those number's and, can't trim the aircraft once in the air.
Thanks for the help.

Hey Guy's.
I have a bit of a power shortage on one of my dc-8's, the aircraft doesn't accelerate down the runway fast enough for takeoff. All my other dc-8 aircraft rotate off the ground at or about 160kts however, my Aeromexico aircraft won't rotate until about 180kts.
By the time the aircraft hits 180 kts, it's at the end of the runway and rolling in the grass. Can't even get off the ground in time at LAX 10,000 plus runway, what if anything can i do about this?
Is their some CFG file i can edit in order, to get the power i need in this aircraft?
Maybe i can copy and paste something from one of my other aircraft, i did that to add an auto throttle to my dc-8's.
Oh yeah even after full power throttle up with brakes on, i wait for a bit before releasing the brakes. The aircraft still won't accelerate fast enough for takeoff.
Need some expert help.:cool:

Hey there.
Tried the zip but aircraft model won't display, thanks anyway.
-
This gauge does not move the C-5 Galaxy, even at the very top ground speed aircraft won't move.
Works on all other heavies though, just won't move the king of all military Big Boy's.
Tomorrows flight of the day for me is...C-5 OAIX > EGVA.
Made my own route with skyvector because, simbrief had no routes available.
Anyone have this issue?
-
Ok I'll try that zip.
Thanks!
