Im intrigued! Whats the workaround for the 4gb memory limit??

Hi guys during issues with running Traffic Global (no surprise there then) i have accicentally deleted my default FSX SP2 trafficAircraft.bgl file from world/scenery, is there anyway of regenerating it or can it be lifted from one of my FSX Deluxe discs? Or even downloaded somewhere? Maybe one of you guys could email it?

Its ok guys ran a repair from my disk aok now! Still cant get Traffic Global to go past 'generating GA fl8ght plans tho???

I recently reinstalled deluxe myself with no issues after having to do a windows10 reset, you will need the PartMgr trick as its not just for acceleration as i discovered.

Mine was a reset instead of a reinstall obviously two different things i guess? some stuff remained like documents etc but i think the reset puts the registry to default? IL2 REDCORE still worked that !!!

It was a real bonus having the ability to do a reset with win10 tbh otherwise god knows what i would have done - full windows install i guess?? Trouble is the reset uninstalls almost all your apps/programs/...etc but leaves useless shortcuts behind on the desktop making it appear you have been 'saved'. The cruelty of windows LOL

Had a sudden crash of windows10 on my rig yesterday, wouldnt boot past a black screen so had to do a WinRE and a system reset. Ultimately i lost the lot but thankfully all backed up on a HDD.

Now reinstalled FSX Deluxe boxed with SP1 and SP2 without a hitch tbh (just did the PartMgr rename in the registry all aok.

Reinstalled UTX Europe and GEX and HD Airport Graphics and gotta say it looks fab with no scenery addons at all so for once i am gonna leave the old girl alone, just adding Traffic Global tomorrow and thats me done with tinkering!

Got some addon aircraft to install but i aint adding no skins/scenery/et al again. It runs fab and looks good.

If you haven't done it already, then move your OS disk to SSD... you'll be wondering why you haven't done that long ago. Boot times that you will not believe!

Just moved my FSX Deluxe to a new SSD - wow!! Load times a fraction of what they used to be!!

Hi just a thought! Have you clicked the compile button at the bottom of the compile traffic screen? Mine was hidden until i reduced the ribbon at the top (right click and choose reduce).

The compiler appears to be running by clicking the big button at the top when it actually isnt doing anything.

Found this out myself!!

Also although my cargo traffic showed 0-0 it had actually produced a traffic-cargo.bgl in my world/scenery folder.

Im on FSX deluxe boxed btw but should be roughly the same info

SORTED! Silly me didnt realise there was a 'compile' button at the bottom of the screen, if you have the upper ribbon to big you cant see it!! On my screen at least

Just got Traffic Global from Justflight on special offer, installed ok but looks to hang on 'compile flightplans'?? Just sits there 'compiling'...? I have left it for 30 plus mins but nothing seems to happen?

Any ideas how long its supposed to take? Or have i missed a step?

The manual is about as useful as Traffic 360s!

BTW FSX Deluxe boxed SP2

Not completely true there should be one in your main FSX folder too

Traffic 2005 - why? I take it you are using FSX as you have posted here so why not pick Traffic Global? BTW type in Traffic 2005 into google you will be amazed what you find!!

No idea Col. I use traffic360 for my AI, thinking of punching up to global but still a bit expensive imo.

Senna the acceleration pack is a PITA and best avoided imo! There are plenty of fixes for your activation problem just do a search here

Had it to ocassionally its always been temporary tho

Think its still available for FSX? But the developers appear to have deserted across to MSFS

Check you havent got a duplicate traffic.bgl somewhere?

Thanks Doug i will have a read of that - as you say its more of a monitor resolution tool so prob not of much use in fsx
