How does the fsx flight planner figure out heading and time and fuel burnt?
Don't you need to input your power settings and the aircraft specific performance table to roughly estimate the minimum fuel consumption? For climb and for cruise and for every wind condition?
Also the flight planner heading: after maintaining the heading for 10 minutes, I'm always a constant angle off the desired course. I tried to calculate the wind correction on my own, but it ended up being even worse.
And the fsx flight planner fuel estimation is around half of what I used for 30 minutes of flight. Scary.
