  1. Hi All! I just started with FSX Steam and I am missing my old pal from FS9, FSNavigator. I have FSN version 4.7 now over 20 yrs old. Can I run it in FSX or do I have to bite the bullet and look for a new flight planner? Thanks for reading!
  2. Oh Wobbie! You have this old gem?
  3. Hi All! Here I am again with a question about a very old addon, Lago's "The Crossings"*. Does anybody know where I might find it? There was an update to FS9 for it too I think! Originally FS2002. Thanks for reading! *AKA "Le Trasvolate"
  4. Found ASDv2! It's here if anyone else needs it too: https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=asdv2&categoryId=&filename=Y
  5. Thnx! That zip contains everything except the ferry! But I found the Loney library! Now I need some other object library called ASDv2.1!
  6. Hi All! I'm busy improving my US sceneries and I came across the great airfields of the late John Loney jr. His airfields often include his own objects which were available on his website but that website is now gone. Does anyone know where I might find his object library? Also does anyone know where I might find Ron Jeffers Circle Line Ferry for New York? The website that hosted it has also vanished. Thnx for reading!
  7. Sure! The missing file was MSCOMCTL.OCX which is part of the VB6 Runtime library from 1998. At first I thought I would have to find that whole ancient library and download it but then I found my file as a separate download here https://www.urtech.ca/2017/11/solved-mscomctl-ocx-download-register-64-bit-windows/ complete with instructions on how to install and most importantly register it in Win10. Once installed FSMM at once jumped to life again in the game's kneeboard.
  8. Fixed it!! I was missing a file in Windows System! Downloaded it and registered it and now FSMM works! Thnx all for your support!
  9. Aha? I'll give that a try! Thanks for your advice!
  10. Yes! It could be a lot of things. Basically it says it has installed correctly but when I try to start the app (which runs through the kneeboard) the game crashes. I tried a new install of FS9 and also used my backup copy of FS9(which also has FSMM installed) with the same result. So...seeing it worked fine until I had to reinstall Win10 I am assuming the OS is blocking FSMM. But I'm puzzled that it hasn't blocked FS Navigator(22yrs old) or FSUIPC. I have turned off UAC and tried Admin rights and legacy compatibility too. Still crashes the game when I turn on the kneeboard. Anyone have a similar experience?
  11. Hi all! I've been happily using FS Moving Map for the last decades to let me fly using my real world aviation charts. After a recent computer crash(Win10 PC) which required me to reinstall FS9 and all the various modules I have successfully reactivated FSUIPC and FS Nav but for some reason FSMM will not install! Does anybody here still use this old but very useful app in FS9? Any ideas what my problem might be? Thnx for reading!

    Emma Field

Hi All! Does anyone know if the old Lago addon Emma Field is still around somewhere? I really enjoyed all the activity there! Can't find my files to reinstall it.
  13. Aha? Thanks, I'll have a look!
  14. Hi All! I would like to be able to make the Kneeboard bigger. Is this possible in FS9? I'm mirroring the kneeboard on my iPad and it would be more legible if it were a little bigger! Thanks for reading!
  15. Aha? I'll give Freetrack a try too!
  16. Aha? Thanks Paul for the clarification. You're quite right! I just sat in the rear seat of my Tiger Moth and, as you say, I can't stick my head out of the cockpit left or right using just my head movement. However used in conjunction with a keypress and mouse scroll wheel it is possible. Now that is probably using some addon app I set up in FS9 ages ago and has nothing to do directly with Opentrack. I've been away from FS9 for quite a few years but I seem to remember I used to stick my head out the window using those key commands back in the day when I still used Trackir. Was that possible back then(sticking my head out of the cockpit) with Trackir alone in FS9?
  17. I'm using a simple, no name webcam attached to a usb port on my desktop pc. It's the same webcam I use for Zoom and other video calls. I'm running Win10 Pro.
  18. Haven't tried it in FSX, but it seems to do everything Trackir did in FS9. Zoom in/out, Head up/down, lean left/right etc Attached is my profile for FS9 ezyzip.zip
  19. AAAH....sorted it out! Need to point the app at fsuipc and it works fine! Silly me!
  20. Hi All! I've just been experimenting with the free software opentrack which with aitracker uses your garden variety webcam to provide head tracking in all sorts of games. Now I've got it working in IL2 1946 and Rise of Flight but still not made it work in FS9. Does anyone here use this free alternative to Trackir in FS9? Do I need some dedicated .dll or a workaround to make it work? Thanks for reading!
  21. This might be old news but I thought I'd mention it. Airservices Australia has made all their VTC and VNC charts available FOR FREE! PDF format here: https://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/aip.asp?pg=60&vdate=15JUN2023&sect=VTC&ver=2 Happy landings!
  22. Thanks a heap Zwobbie! I just transferred my Win7 install to Win10. Your guide save me a lot of time and frustration!
