  1. The site was revamped: https://cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_lib/picture.php?/110/category/21 The download link is the tray in the top right corner
  2. The only time I have heard of it is in the 737, where idle reverse allows you to go rev thrust at 10ft or lower. Are you using the airbrake/spoilers? What aircraft is it? I mean, obviously a C152 has no spoilers, but without knowing the aircraft you are trying to land it's a bit of guesswork? Have you tried banking left and right to bleed off some speed? Flaps and wheels are down I guess?
  3. Link is now defunct. You now have to join their discord server to get the pack (which requires the Discord app)
  4. Sure - are they additional commands (not on the list already), or are they just different ways to get to the commands listed here?
  5. I had to revert back to the British Airways A320neo from version 1 & 2 because someone changed it, and painted a tail number on the livery, which means you get two tail numbers, your one, and the one painted on the livery. I have NO idea why people keep doing that as it makes them useless: 1. We can't all have the same number, it would be a bit silly now wouldn't it having three of four BA aircraft at Heathrow all with the same tail number ??? 2. I want to use my own tail number, not the one you think looks good lol I understand they may be modelling real-world aircraft, but as it was fine for the first two weeks, why did they change it ?? They should have made a new one and left the old one so we can choose between them !!!
  6. :%u00AC) I have noted a couple of discrepancies - slew mode yaw left and right are the wrong way round unfortunately, but that was a game error I suspect, as they SHOULD be hte way round they are on my list lol. Thanks for the supporting message, I'm glad someone found it useful !
  7. I jsut noticed, thisfile has been updated, the original download was 384MB It is now up to 787MB
  8. Yes, that is how you change liveries. By clicking on the aircraft and then clicking liveries. It wasn't that though, but thanks for trying to help :%u00AC) It turns out that the instructoins were possibly wrong. Instead of moving the whole directory to: X:\MSFS 2020\Community\liveriesmegapack\liveries-747 I put the individual groups in: X:\MSF 2020\Community\liveries-747 Once I moved all the individual aircraft folders into the community folder, they all work fine. I do not even know HOW to get to the hangar view lol.
  9. Unfortunately, simply copying the unzipped liveries folder into the community folder - as the video suggests - does not seem to initially work. I am at a loss to understand why they aren't working lol.
  10. Hi all It was a bit of a pain to get to install. My install went like this: 1. Run first installer (installer installer - well, the download manager I guess) 2. That finishes, runs installer and asks for location to install packages to. 3. It gets to around 15% and then just sits there, for an hour (I then repeated this 2 more times, uninstalling between each one, and each one getting to about 15% then just stopping) 3a Turns out they weren't packages, they were the game files 3b Swear a lot, then uninstall all of the MSFS 2020 installers completely. 4 Turn off xbox game pass 5. Uninstall Xbox game pass and any other Xbox apps Then I was starting from the very begninning again ... 6. Login to the Microsoft Store 7. Run the installer installer (900MB) 7a. If it carries on, stop it, exit and quit back to desktop 8. Go to Start 9. Right click on MSFS 2020 and "run as administrator" 10. It took 6 hours to install everything, It all went on OK and runs fine. It seems that the download app is not correctly initialised, and starts the installer without administrator priveleges, which seems to stop it from installing. Once I ran it as an admin, it got to the 15% mark again (for the fourth time), and this time it sarted the install process with no issues. Just beware, there are some strangenesses, quite often you return to the game from one of the menu items, and the mouse no longer controls looking around the cockpit, leaving you stuck where you were last looking. Similarly, I had it fail so badly last night, that when i returned to the cockpit, even the joystick hat was not interacting with the game. I would suggest learning or writing down the basic view commands, as once that mouse stops, you can be looking at the floor for the whole flight !! Apart that, it all seems pretty decent so far - once the thing finally starts installing!!!!
  11. To be fair, it's closer to Altrincham and Wilmslow than Stockport - in fact Wythenshaw is much closer and directly north of the airport - but it actually is AT Ringway, which is a little hamlet just to the east of the southern ends of the runway. It WAS called Ringway Airport, I spent many days down there plane spotting in my youth ... 10p on the 400 bus lol, but I digress ... The airport was known as Ringway, as there were other airports in Manchester that were equally important. It hasn't been officially called "Ringway", well not since it was RAF Ringway. We just used to call it that because we locals used to refer to it as Ringway back in the 70s and 80s. It really is just called Manchester Airport, and has been since the 1930s when it was built.
  12. I'm just slightly above recommended specs (Ryzen 1600X, 16GB RAM, 8GB R390 graphics) and wishing I had some cash spare lol! I had to free up a whole 180GB on one of my 250GB SSDs, so if it is mostly cached scenery I might have to look into putting it on the HDD instead - no point wearing out an SSD with all those writes!! Hopefully it won't get TOO much bigger, 150GB and 16GB RAM should be fine, but as always, the more RAM the better! I will try it with one screen, and with three, but usally I don't notice a drop in faps in most games when played on three screens as opposed to on one. That, though, remains to be seen, as the main games I played on three were FSX, ARMA and GTAV - I guess I'll have to try it and see.
  13. I was taken aback by the Thrustmaster Airbus quadrant, just far too much money (£90) for me unfortunately :¬( https://www.thrustmaster.com/en_UK/products/tca-quadrant-airbus-edition
  14. I live in a tower block, it's pretty accurate in Google Maps 3D view, so should be pretty good in the sim lol - from the vids I saw, it's pretty accurate down to individual trees, even if not that well drawn below tree-top level. I'm looking forwards to seeing if they manage to match real-world bump mapping, having FreemeshX changed the sim for me into something worth flying for fun, the grand canyon went from a u shaped valley into something quite spectacular. Looking forwards to comparing FS2020 to FSX :¬)
  15. Funnily enough, I emailed the French company a few days ago to see if there was going to be an SDK or any utilities ... no reply as yet!
  16. 1. EGSH --> EHAM in the neo, my old British Airways Virtual route ;¬) I also use it to test new aircraft I put in FSX as I sort of know it fairly well. 2. EGSS --> EDDF --> ESKN in the Neo or maybe the 747(?) A nice flight time and time for a bit of congestion 3. I'll use a weather page to find some wind/rain/thunderstorms - usually good for a laugh
  17. I have preordered on the Xbox Game Pass Beta. It cost £1 to join for the first month, and then £3.99 a month after that. I can cancel anytime. It means I can try it out without the full expense, and if it is OK, I will buy the installer. I have seen some of the scenery, and it looks like Google maps with the 3D turned on, with trees that are just columns rising out of the ground, no trunk, just a block of green rising up to the treetop. It also looks a little dodgy in other areas, where overhangs etc. just produce a cliff face (caves, overhanging clifftops etc.). Hopefully it will have improved since those early vids were out. To try it out for £5 is reasonable I guess, but after a year I would have paid more than it costs to buy the basic version lol. The fact it needs a high internet connection also is sort of off-putting, as it might be rubbish to play when internet is not available, so for those in areas where they have slow connections, that also may be an issue. And no 737! Wow! I have have to "type certify" myself in the Airbus ready for the 320neo - no more flaring on landing! lol :¬)
  18. This gives an error - "has to be different name". To fix, simply edit the text in the [texture.x] section Each texture pack has to be named differently: AS IN THE ZIP FILE: title=Boeing 737-800 sim=Boeing737-800 CORRECTED VERSION: title=Boeing 737-800 BA sim=Boeing737-800 You can give it any name you like, I just used BA as it is a BA texture :%u00AC)
  19. I would advise caution, as it is an alpha, not even at beta stage yet !! Oh yeah, not sure if Neusinger will be happy lol - as the readme.txt file also states: "Please do not make this version available for download on other websites." I have emailed him as I would love him to finish that last version!!
