  1. Maybe an idea is to go to flightsim.to download a flightplan, load it in msfs and see whats going on. What you can also do is download LittleNavMap and import that flightplan there, That gives you an idea of whats going on, flight plan wise. Maybe this is something simple to load in to the G3X in the xcub https://flightsim.to/file/7280/all-creatures-great-and-small-flight-plan
  2. I think the fun of multiplayer is playing any game within certain rules of that game. I remember CFS and the modified planes that shot you down with one shot. That's was fun for that player and lasted around 30 seconds, everybody left. You dont have to play MSFS like your a airline pilot, I dont. But I'm not going to ruin somebodys expirience after a 3 hour flight and buzz him on landing. That's the reason I stopped trying multiplayer alltogether Is it fun to stalk a point where new players spawn and shoot them after 2 seconds??
  3. Wait untill xbox is released. I have no idea if they would be on the same server but if that's the case I would buy a giant box of chill pills.
  4. I have no technical opinion on the ram. I noticed however that I use between 18 and 24 gigs of my 32 gig ram when MSFS is on the runway I wonder what would happen if I installed 64 ( go down to 16) With 64 would I use more ram or would it stay between 18 and 24?
  5. I thought it should be devided by 2. So 3 would be 1,5, and not 1 as in decreasing it by 2. Or is that my lack of knowledge of english (i'm not english spoken)
  6. Im just wondering, Skyvector says you can only use it for real flights. What does that mean for usage in a sim??
  7. I had the same problem wit Geforce Experience. Not in MSFS but in another game. Luckely I installed it just after playing that game and starting it again, so I knew where to look.
  8. I had the same question. There are, at least in my game, no ship in rivers or lakes and in most harbours. If you go to the Golden gate bridge (f.i.) you can see some. Although this is no shipping sim, I realy mis them. I would trade Asobo half the road vehicles for some ships and wakes. Look at any aerial of a harbour and you see why.
  9. I had a MS force feedback also and couldnt get it to work. BUT I didnt try g7rta's advice at that time.
  10. But your initial question was : What can I do to lower the temp. The first thing I would do is see if the fans cick (Kick) in. I dont know what system you have but when my fans kick in I can hear them
  11. Air cooled in a 19C room This is a screenshot from the free app GPU-z but it shows CPU temp also. I include a screenshot of the app, previous was a little unclear.
  12. I use the same processor and msfs with almost all at Ultra. I think 85c is rather high.
  13. As with FSX I bought the full version of MSFS 2020 Yes it's more expensive and I do not fly to all the extra airports and dont use alle extra planes. But sometimes there are mods or new features released thru (f.i.) the freeware channel that are so awesome that I just want to have a look at them. I would always advice to go for the premium deluxe version. Also because this product is probably going to last for years.
  14. I'm not going to download it but only because I never fly that area. Looks great. I would say keep on designing and leave the flying to the "scenery ignorant"
  15. I perfer the mods on existing planes. Such as the xcub mod, the A32NX mod. Developers can concentrate on the last 10%. and with the new community folder I can remove them easily without having to worry about the original.
  16. I also downloaded LittleNavMap and at first found it to complex for the vfr flights that I fly. After watching some Youtube videos on it, it started to dawn on me. Start with something simple, export the flightplan to msfs and load it up. Works for me.
  17. I started with FS 98 and even bought Flight. Had FSX on my drive since it's release, but didnt start it for the last 5 or 6 years. I learned about MSFS2020 in early october 2020, held of until end november, couldnt play it on my old PC. On december 19th 2020 I got my new PC (I7-10700K, 32 gigs ram, RTX 3060TI and m.2 ssd) Installed MSFS2020 and couldnt play it because I needed a new joystick. Just before X-mas and in a Corona Lock down. (everybody working from home, shops closed, schools closed) There were none available on-line. I mean NONE! I found one barely used, connected it, started up 2020 and almost dropped of my chair. With everything maxed out the lowest I get is 25fps, mostly around 45, I use the VFR enhanced map viewer and this sim is so spot on and enjoyable. Yes, there are things that need improvement, but with current patch and development rate and the upcoming Xbox release (that probably means an extra cash injection for Asobo and MS) I think this sim has a bright future.
  18. I'm an ex FSX-er. Havent flown sims for some years until MSFS2020. I bought the payware manual to get a general overview but as soon as I have some specific question it's not in depth enough. ALthough usefull it is certainly not a manual that I keep next to my sim. In the "old days" there were some nice manuals that did go into things step by step. Now you have Youtube. Search for a problem and 9 out of 10 there are some nice videos to get you going. From the most elementary to in depth. Watch them as you need them, dont overdo it.
  19. I had that happen several times. First I went from legacy to steam. That solved some problems but it still happens. When I notice it I back out to the options screen and enter the game again (that is without quiting my flight) That solved any other problems that sometimes occur.
  20. Trains will be coming in 2022-23 Look at item 19 https://www.flightsimulator.com/january-14th-2021-development-update/
  21. I found them "by accident" I was flying over Chicago's waterfront, there are boats in the harbour and some big vessels at the coast line. Majority of rivers lakes and seas are empty. With most Dutch rivers and lakes (not counting the harbours and North Sea) having between 50 and 100.000+ barges and uncountable leisure boats through it a year empty rivers is an VFR immersion killer.
  22. As I'm from the Netherlands, a country with plenty of rivers, lakes and a country long coast line I miss ships, big and small. I have my ai ships at 100% but no ships. What am I doing wrong???
  23. Why would deleting rolling cache restore an installed scenery? Maybe you should just ask the developer at the site you downloaded it from if he could help you out and/or look at possible comments made at that scenery. My experience is that most of them respond and are more then willing to help you out.
  24. The only moment i get a CTD is when I try to work the flightplan in flight. (in the Xcub) If I leave it alone I have no problems and can fly for hours.
  25. 3 min 30 second from first click to in the air. FSX was long to.
