  1. I gave my sidewinder away years ago. Bought it packaged with Mechwarrior 2. A great stick for that game and any using a rudder. Mine wasn't force feedback though. My Sidewinder wheel is. That SW wheel was built solid, and still functions great in a few games, but MS does not want to support thier old USB devices in Win10. There is no means to configure settings as there was in '98-7. MS has a tendency to screw over gamers on a regular basis. I bet many here remember when MS put out a patch for Win98 that bricked everyone's KB HOTAS setup for ever. That day over a million people wanted to knock Bill Gates out for good.
  2. Don't look at it that way. Something similar happened with the Arma community and DayZ. The DayZ mod brought in the worst people on Steam... .and the community became a mess of teenage idiots spouting thier tripe and the older generation wishing to kill them all. Once the worst of those left.... The community settled down and expanded. Kinda what we see in the real world.....
  3. There are options for the flight path markers, just not sure where. I tend to leave the one on for taxing....easy to get lost trying to find where you need to go..... Flight xxxx please leave the runway.... Whoops.
  4. MS shot themselves in the foot so many time in the gaming arena and treated PC players like dogs for a decade or more it would take a miracle for them to redeem themselves. Remember when USB came out in the late 90s and MS decided to corner the joystick market by putting out a patch for Win98 that bricked everyone's HOTAS. The patch disabled the ability to upload your assignments to the HOTAS. MS said it was for security reasons... Someone could upload a virus through your keyboard port.... An outright lie, slap to our face idiotic excuse that should have left Bill Gates with missing teeth and dotted eyes....he's lucky... real lucky. This new version will probably go down in flames on the PC as a sim, but will take off for the arcade kids on the consoles... MS just needs to provide a means for that mentality to kill each other over and over in game and they will have another success.
  5. If there is a bloom setting you can try reducing that. Or if no Bloom setting it will be tied to Post processing which turns down more than just bloom. Had the same issue... Then discovered that when zooming in on the panel to see it better the mouse scroll also adusts any instrument on the panel that is centered...even without the mouse cursor visible.... Deadly feature if you aren't aware of that bit of bad design. Why does the mouse scroll wheel operate instruments when the cursor isn't visible, and I just want to zoom into the panel..... Thank God I heard the engines rev up as my altitude dropped due to this bad design. I had just zoomed in to the panel them realized by doing so I also dropped the AP altitude setting. Was kinda like discovering the horrible live pause feature....which is a quick death if you use it.
  6. Make sure you have the necessary voice packs installed and the other necessities for ATC to work. It sounds like some of the system updates required for the game are missing which is why it is greyed out or not appearing.
