Nope, the 16 is just random.
I was hoping you had found an efficient way (time wise) to create the autogen, but thank you for the additional background information.

Thanks for sharing this project. How long did it take to do the small section? I ask because I use FSEarth Tiles and download every where I fly now a days. I have figured out how to use the program to download entire states in less than 2 hours.

Thanks for this upgrading of Cincinnati, OH. It works fine in P3Dv3 as well. There were 8 extra libraries needed to download and install. Just a note, all the files are here at Flightsim.com. There were a couple of the file names miss spelled listed in the READ ME note but I was able to locate the files by searching key words in the file name description or by author.

@Scotflight Freeware, I found your web site and saw your free Scotland airports. I read that Horizons is the photo real scenery you recommend but have you considered recommending FSEarth Tiles instead. The program is free and you can use it to download UK Photo Real scenery for free with it, or actually any where in the world.
Horizons photo real scenery is 1.2 meters per pixel but with FSEarth Tiles, you can download 0.25 meters per pixel if you want it that good. I prefer 4 meters per pixel which uses one fourth the HD space. For special areas, such as cities, I download those at 1 meter per pixel.
I have downloaded one fifth of the USA and one third of the UK, that is why your recent upload here caught my attention.

Many of us fly without the VC, we have more and larger screens I guess. I like your work very much.

I know you said for FSX only. But the Landscape Photo does show up in P3D v3. I was wondering, is there a tutorial of how to create a small section from Google earth (like you did here) and place them in the Flight Simulator. It appears the technique is the same for FSX and P3D v3.
