  1. Exactly the opposite opinion.

In other games, even racing sims, I can go either way. (BTW racing will probably bring in motion sickness in VR way before flying, has been my experience.) With a good computer / video card / headset combo for good smooth resolution I will not fly on monitors again. Just the simple act of flying a pattern in GA is so much closer to real life in VR, that the two aren't even comparable. There are plenty of utilities available for charts, taking notes, viewing maps and checklists, that allow staying in the vr cockpit easy. Just the simple act of looking to the left: On monitor, I used a hat switch, my head is still looking forward, the room around my monitors is stationary....there is nothing "immersive" about that simple task. Don't understand anyone considering flight-simming in VR a novelty. The monitor approach....that's the novelty. Go up with a friend (if no PPL) in a GA aircraft for some pattern work, you'll understand what I'm talking about.....

  2. Artoee,

This has to be one of the easiest things to fix in MSFS2020. I can't believe the number of people that complain about upgrades and the developers, but never explore any options within the menus. You simply turn off the tooltips and other cockpit assistance in the cleverly marked assistance options. You will find no more popups, shut them all off, as the sim defaults to easy for all settings. This sim makes FSX look like a cartoon, but feel free to return....

  3. I own this exact machine. The computer is perfect, especially for VR with the G2 headset. My only comment is you're paying way too much for this. Microcenter (at least in Ohio, Has that exact machine for $3500). I've since added another 32gb or ram (I do BIM modelling/rendering as well as recording studio work on this machine as well). If you go to add RAM, make sure that it is identical to the sticks that come with it. Like a lot of new machines, it doesn't play well with other brands of RAM. Other than the price, you won't be dissapointed.
