    Were there any advanced allied sea plane bases constructed for WWII like Kerma Retto was in the Pacific? I understand that there were some Curtiss SOC's and Vought OS2U's deployed in the Atlantic during the war as well as PBY's as well as other water operations aircraft. Just wondering.
