Hi Rayburrow,
I used to use VFR scenery with FS9, and although it was ok at height, the
lack of autogen scenery took away any sense of realism when closer to
the ground :(
I like to fly low and slow in the 1940s - 1950s era, and for me the best
scenery for that is Golden Wings with the brilliant Radio Range navigation
add on, it really gives me a sense of realism and immersion.
Golden Wings does mean a second FS install, but the instructions are all
included and it is a simple exercise to carry out. You can find Golden Wings
at Lyn and Bill Lyons website by following the link below. There are loads
of regressed airports and aircraft available for the pre war era.

You can find the brilliant Radio range on this site, just type in rr40.zip and
have a look, if you like to fly pre-war, you will probably like this, it has a
steep learning curve, but seems to me to be very realistic, I love it:)
Just sharing a few ideas that I have found and enjoyed a long the way,
cheers, and happy simming,
Richard

Hi,
Hoping someone may be able to help.
I have been flying the Aeroproyecto EMB-110P in FS9 for a few years without any problems, and
it is a great aircraft, and everything works as it should. I have eventually got around to getting
it installed into my FSX SP2 install.
I have downloaded and installed the FSX compatable version from the library, and most of the
VC click spots are fine and work ok, but I cant seem to get the radios and a few other gauges to
respond. When I hover over the radio switches there are no clickspots showing:confused:.
This only seems to affect the virtual cockpit, if I revert back to the 2d cockpit, everything works
fine, very odd. I have checked the panel cfg and gauges folders, but I cant see anything out of the
ordinary.
The file I downloaded and installed : aeroproyectoemb-110f.zip, and is found in FSX Turboprops.
Any ideas?, be great if I could get this sorted, I used to fly a real one back in the late 80s, and this
"Transit of the skys" model is pretty good. I have updated the sounds with the TSS PT-65 Twin Otter
HD ones, and it sounds great, very noisey! I can smell that avtur now;), get your earplugs out!!
Any help would be much appreciated, as I only fly from the VC nowadays.
Cheers in advance
Missing FSX Hermes

Hi,
Hope someone can help with an odd problem with this zip file, "hermes_v20x"
I am trying to install Jens B Kristensen's "HP81 Hermes" into FSX, but although it
seems to install ok in the usual fsx/simobjects/airplanes folder, it aint there:( !!!
I am using FSX SP2, on W10 64bit, and have never had this happen before, the
installer finds FSX and allegedly installs it, and If I try and re-install, it gives me
3 options to modify, repair or remove the installation, so I do and try again, but
to no avail:confused:
I have tried to install it to folders in various locations on the PC, but still no luck,
so unless there is a compatibility issue, I am stumped
Confused of Devon:confused:
