I'm sorry but I am still having a terrible time finding ai base models on here now. Using the file name xxxx.zip does not work which is insane. Any database should have direct file names indexed. I hope this is fixed.

By searching the term 'Oskari Syynimaa ATR 42-500'
I found this:
I did the same exact search and nothing came up the first time and next time without the quotes I get all of the repaints.
It is really important to be able to use file name for searches though. I hope you can install this option.

Searching FS2004 Guatemala Air Force Cessna 208B retuns:
Showing results for 'FS2004 Guatemala Air Force Cessna 208B' in files. - FlightSim.Com
There you still have the option ;
Take these base models for instance. Originally linked to the old library but now I could not find them here. Only repaints for the model will show up using various criteria but not the base model which is what is supposed to be looked for.

The problem I am seeing with the file search is that you can't get any results using the original file name, it is not even displayed on the landing page for the actual file. This is a must fix. Of course if I am missing something here please let us know.

I of course am willing to give this a chance and since I have been working with computers and databases for many years now I understand the complexity of the work. Just one question as an owner of many uploads here for the last almost 20 years (geez that long!!) do I have to write to the admin for each to move to my account one at a time or could you mass move them over.

The very simplified answer is use DXT3 (or DXT1 with alpha for lightmaps) for performance as this is the recommended format in the sdk. The 32 bit version when saved with DXTBmp or Imagetool is a larger version with much less compression which in turn displays a better quality images. On older systems the performance would take a hit from this as well as uses extra HD space. Newer computers should not have a problem with this however. Still the hard drive space can be used up much quicker with these larger files especially for flyable aircraft.

Also in addition to what Mark said I found out the hard way that alot of older addons with installers prior to 2008 will not work because they are 16 bit and this is a non starter with newer versions of Windows. Some vendors will make good and give you a new installer with proof of purchase, others will say you have to repurchase a newer version and some will have gone out of business and that's the end of that.
Best of luck to you!

I don't do flyable but if you are talking about AI then here is a very complete list:

What is AGS?
Animated Ground Servicing.
To zoah666:
And to answer the original question the only thing I can think of is do a search for "Camil Valiquette" here in the library. He has created a lot of aircraft with AGS and made some AI versions without it but still have the statics.

As an AI fan and developer FS9 does the best job without all the tinkering needed to get all of the available ai aircraft to work in any other sim. Anything that is not available for FS9 I just adjust or make for myself. Still the least amount of fussing and messing around needed.
Maybe you can call me lazy but after over 15 years I don't want to start over again. Simple as that.

Carlos, for those that may find converting a bit out of their depth, can you not upload your paints for them to use?
Col.
If the original paints are from somebody else I don't think that would be proper as the original author retains the rights to it. He could try to get permission though.

Although I am not too active anymore in the later years of development I only used Ai Flight Planner to do everything. Once you really gain an understanding of this tool you will wonder how you did without it.
Available here:

Just click the "Download" tab on the left menu of the webpage.
Best of luck to you.

Just a shot in the dark here but did you try to run AFCAD as administrator? I know some here are not a fan of this method but it is the only way I get things to work on my setup. My Windows 10 is an upgrade directly over the old Windows 7 one.

I think I got my AI Traffic the way I want at my local airport.
One more question I have is My FedEx and UPS freight planes are going to the gates instead of parking spots. How would I change this?
Without knowing your setup mark the cargo ramps you want them to go with the proper parking codes that match the one's in the ai cfg. Example: FDX

Mark, anything that originally came with a 16 bit installer will not work I can tell you that. Mostly stuff issued before 2007 (such as the Blueprint sceneries purchased at that time). Many do offer a "repurchase offer" with the new installer.
Glad to see you back here.

If you are attempting to reinstall any Just Flight older software that originally came with a 16 bit installer you might be out of luck. This is the response I got from them when I had the same problem with some of their older sceneries. They said "Sorry no longer supported" and were at least nice enough to give me a credit towards some future purchase.

Yup that is great for Helo Ai. It works for ai floatplanes too!
:pilot:

That's a fun thing to do. I'm assuming IFR so the plane never touches down?

I always notice as well with these type of programs, when people get a lot of the bugs sorted and they introduce improvements, they bring out a nwere version with a different code and it starts all over again.
Col.
Yes that's the truth. Kinda like Microsoft Windows, warning Windows 11 coming out soon!

Many of the old installers are 16 bit and won't work on new 64 bit operating systems. There's not much you can do there.
