Just be aware that the next time Microsoft updates the sim, they will reinstall those things so you'll have to remove them again...

Nice series of videos on the basics of airmanship, which too many people want to skip over.
Thanks!

I also noticed the straight tail and thought C-180, but the cowling openings say C170 all the way to me! Thanks for the added info which clears things up

But does it work with MSFS 2020?
Yes, there is a version for MSFS 2020.

Are you confusing FSX with MSFS? "TBM930" and "MOD" sound like MSFS to me...(this is the FSX Forum)

I read somewhere that it's been postponed til November...

I noticed the same while loading the latest World Update X yesterday. Took a couple tries to finish the WU X download, suspect uSoft server problems since it told me a couple times I was disconnected from the internet, then reconnected. Once WU X finished loading, the Nordic WU 5 loaded quickly.

Posted in the wrong forum...this one is for FSX

Wonder if the OP is talking about the A5 in MSFS? If so, he's posting in the wrong forum...

You might pick a real world flight (between two cities you're interested in) on FlightAware.com, they list the filed flight plan for the flight.

PAPI lights are not pilot controlled...there is nothing I'm aware of to "activate" them. They should be on all the time.

If I recall, one of the sim updates changed the throttle bindings required for some aircraft...some use the throttle axis and others use the throttle up/down bindings. You might try binding to the opposite one for that aircraft...just a thought.

How's about we just stop replying to these "complainer" threads? If they post and no one answers, the thread just dies a slow a quiet death...

With the Bruce Artwick release on an Apple ll+

I've watched most all of them, and agree they are very well done and informative.

You did, of course, remember to save your changes before you exited?

I used to sit at an airport and when an AI showed up that I wanted to watch, I just took off behind him and flew in formation...good practice, since you're not sure when he might climb or descend!

It's getting there, this is many years in the works. Saving up money where I can find one piece at a time. I'm at the point though my wife will not let me spend any more money. It was either get the GNS430 so then I would have the 430 and 5 30 as I already have the gns 530 by real sim, or Stop buying peripherals and Use that money when I want to buy something fsomething from the Microsoft store like I just did. I just got the $59.95 Reno expansion pack.
The thing is I work all the time, I run my own electrical business and put in a good 80-100 hours a week. I never spend money on myself, never getting anything extranything extra. I always bring my lunch to work. I tried to make a pair of work boots or jeans last for years. I am always making sure my wife and daughter don't go without and always have what they want 1st. Many years I made sure that my wife and daughter were taken care of for Christmas and they bought me nothing. But that was on purpose I told them not to and was very adamant about it to save money, So now my wife tells me it's my turn. My daughter is a freshman in high school and we already have college paid for as we started saving from the day she was born. So my wife looks at it this way, I work so hard for the family that this is something I really truly enjoy. We can't really afford real flight lessons at the moment so this is the next best thing. After my daughter is out of the house the house and done with college then then I will start flight training for my Private pilots license

Curious why your Throttle/Prop/Mixture controls are color coded backwards from "Standard"? (Normally, throttle is black, prop is blue, mixture is red.)

Well said Larry! And looking at accident reports including one here in Ky., weight and balance certainly should be stressed more than they are in training.
A new pilot was so proud of his license he took three (3) of his buds up for a flight in a 152. He barely cleared some trees about a mile from the airport on takeoff.
Then stalled on final when he dropped his flaps as he would have when flying with his instructor. The flight resulted in one dead and three injured. And considering he was over a flat and treeless golf course at the time, it could easily have been four dead on many airport final approaches. Approaching SDF he'd might have crashed onto a heavily traveled Interstate Highway!:eek:
This must have a been a 172, since the 152 is only a 2 place airplane...unless he made 3 flights and crashed on each one!

I have my slew commands set up for the yoke axis as well, so I can just press Y and steer wherever I want to go, forward or backward! Works great!

Parking Brake set?

Must be fixed...mine shows $15 and 12.71 euros

Or buy a bigger monitor and all text will increase in size...

Try downloading the basic version from the Store, and then install the upgrades from the Content Manager within the Sim

Used to be a 94th Aero Squadron restaurant at the Van Nuys, Ca, airport, but sadly, it closed permanently in 2022. It was a great place for lunch and airplane watching, near the north end of the runways.
