  1. I've been perplexed by this for a bit now.

I bought the 2 planes in the title and installed them and they ran just fine. Then changed computers, reinstalled XP11(steam)and both planes dont work. Feet sticking out bottom of plane, pilots head in the way. I've googled the heck out of it and see a lot about SASL. I am using a fresh install of XP11 and only flywithLUA as a plugin, no other anything. Still giving me fits.

    Any help appreciated.

    This is the error:

    C:\SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/X-Plane 11/Aircraft/Carenado V35_Bonanza_v3.2/plugins/sasl/64/win.xpl : Error Code = 126 : The specified module could not be found.

  2. Thanks for the responses guys! I have used the heck out of the library here over the years. I'm thinking 16 years on from it's release, I am finally now looking into my first payware planes. I have the Captainsim 757 and VCOL Embraer 190/195. Enjoying them both.

I'll look at the Wilco today.

  3. I've used both of the freeware Project Airbus and IFDG, but would like to pick up a payware baby bus. I have a thing for the little airliners like the A318 and B735. Grateful for any suggestions.

It's interesting how one would upgrade their PC to be able to fly the most recent Sims but yet I keep going back to fs9. I was never really a big user over the years of payware so I'm starting to dabble in that a bit.

  4. Im making sure I have the space to keep all my sims at the ready. Really loving X-Plane 11, and am getting a new SSD for MSFS soon, and still dabble with FSX:SE, but FS9 still gets most of my attention. It can still look great, and I think there is a lot of life left in it. Love your screenshots.
  5. I recently started using X Plane 11 after buying a new PC. I am also waiting a bit on MSFS, for it to improve and I also need to add a SSD to put it on, my PC only has 1 drive and I want MSFS to have its own dedicated drive.

I have been primarily an FS9 guy, but occasionally use FSX:SE.

As far as I know, there arent any missions in XP11, but I have to say it was well worth the purchase and I can see myself still using it even when I get MSFS.

Visually, XP11 is far better than FSX, and with a couple of free downloads you can really ramp up the visuals. The default aircraft are very nice and free community upgrades for them have helped a lot. Also, I think there is no comparison between default FSX and XP11, either in scenery or planes. Free scenery for airports take it up a notch, look for stuff by MisterX, and others.

I have FS9, FSX:SE, and XP11 installed, and use them all. If you have the room and can afford XP11, theres no reason to not enjoy the options available.

  6. What I found to be the best thing that has gotten me back to simming is when I bought a new monitor, it is a 34 inch wide screen 3440 by 1440 native. This gives a lot more to view at one time and makes it more enjoyable for me at least. Easy on the eyes as well.

Same here. I'm getting old and vision is fine but not "4K" like it used to be lol. Big monitor has made all the difference.

  7. As the involvement of VR Headsets has been infused in this conversation, my birthday present was an Oculus Rift S which I had to pay $800 for it in April. It works great in all the flight sims I have purchased. There is some screen door effects with the Rift S but overall I like how it looks. When the HP Reverb 2 price comes down to a reasonable price, I will buy it.

That's brilliant, I was calling it blurry but screen door effect is much more accurate. Glad it wasn't just me. Doesn't take away from the fun factor, but wish it was a bit clearer.

  8. My son got the Oculus Rift S for Christmas, then made the mistake of going to his grandmas for the night. I gave it a go with X Plane, and WOW!! No, there is for sure not a scuba mask effect. It was the first time as a flight simmer I truly felt like I was in the plane, and the visual tomfoolery played on me had me feeling the motion. Just being able to look around, and lean in on the instruments was wild. Videos don't do it justice. It really gives you a feel of being there.
  9. Sorry, I bounce back and forth between the FS9 and FSX forums so much I get confused.

I'm either upgrading the dinosaur or getting a new PC, which will hopefully let me enjoy FSX

more and start using X-Plane also. I have MSFS on the XBox game pass thing, so it may get

some attention. My current rig would explode if i even tried to install it.
