1. My problem now is Firefox won't connect to my modem......if it's not 1 thing it's something else !!

Thanks crazy. If you figure that out, please let me know.

When I try to connect to Real-World Weather, I receive the following error message. An error occurred while downloading Real-World Weather. Please check your internet connection and configuration and try again. Never had to do anything before. No idea how to resolve it.

  2. Good morning Stewie,

I've copied & pasted a working FS9 from my backup HD into this machine but quite a few things are missing so I just kept c&p'ing until the missing items were pasted.

I've just tried the weather & it works.........

    Cheers,

    TerryW

That's great! Thanks for letting me know. Not sure, why I keep getting that it's not connected to the internet, so It won't work for me and I unfortunately don't have a back

  3. One thing you could try: Go into the /fsx/modules folder and rename FSUIPC4.dll, perhaps by changing the .dll to .save, then run FSX and see how it works for you. That will, at least, tell you whether it's FSUIPC or something else.

Later: Oops -- forgot this is FS9. But same thing for /fs2004/modules.

Thanks. Will try and let you know the results.

  4. FSUIPC is passing on the same input it is getting from the device.

    Cheers!

    Luke

Thank you for the reply Luke. That being the case, how can I correct the joystick if recalibrating it does not work?

  5. According to your screenshot FSUIPC is not affecting your rudder (or other controls), since all four of the controls say "Axis not processed". So if you want FSUIPC involved, then you need to first set up FSUIPC to control your rudder.

So if calibration doesn't correct whatever axis you use for rudder control, it might be the control itself being a little off-center or having a dirty pot.

Larry, Thank you for responding, however, FSUIPC is impacting the rudder and direction the plane veers while taxing, taking off, and flying without autopilot being activated.

  6. I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Precision Joystick. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to get along well with FSUIPC. Any aircraft I select to fly, I noticed the plane would turn to the left or right while taxing. I forgot all about FSUIPC and was solely concentrating on recalibrating the joystick. However, when I checked FSUIPC, I noticed that the rudder was not set to 0 (see below). How can I change this so the rudder sits in the right position, so while taxiing or flying without AP, the plane will not automatically bank left or right?

  7. I've not come across this before: I click User-defined weather & then Customize weather - FS9 seizes up & stops then crashes. Weather themes is OK.

I've looked at other posts but cannot see anything helpful.

    Thanks.

Terry - For some reason, my FS9 would not connect to the internet so I could not download real weather. I tried asking for assistance, but like you, I could not find a resolution and no one else could as well.

The resolution for me was to purchase FS Global Real Weather, which has worked remarkably well. Hope this helps.

  8. Roger - Thank you so much for assisting.

    Here's the information requested...I hope.

Exact Position - Using Afcad it shows N47*27.4917' E8*32.8800' 333.3* (same as the Airport Reference Point)

Runway - Reciprocal End 34 Base End 16

    Surface - Concrete

    Width 262

    Length 12287

    Pattern Alt 5000.0

    Elevation 1416.0

Is it possible if I move the Airport Reference Point that would move the house?[/QUOT

FYI - Moving the reference point did not make a difference. However, the other thing I noticed is while the runway is Concrete, the center of it is Asphalt. Is that normal? Is it possible that there is a conflict that causing that? Grasping at straws.

  9. Hi Stewie,

to get FS2004 support from AS is like wanting homegrown strawberries in wintertime.

Have you tried to set an exclude rectangle in this aerea in the AFCAD/ADE-file with Airport Design Editor?

    Dedl

Dedl - Thank you for responding. Not sure how to use ADE. I have discovered though, that the house sits at the exact location as the Airport Reference Point. Not sure if I move the reference point on the Afcad if that would move the house.

  10. Stewie, give me the exact position in degrees and minutes etc, the width of the runway asphalt, and the airport elevation in feet or metres.

  11. A picture of this dilemma has been attached. I'm hoping that there is a fellow FS2004 Simmer that has had this issue and was able to successfully resolve it. Unfortunately, I've searched google and found others that have experienced this issue, but no solution. Also, Aerosoft Forum has yielded no support. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, as well as, adjusting the scenery level to no avail. Not sure what else to do.

    Any support is greatly appreciated!

  12. Thanks Tom! Will change panels and see what happens.

I changed panels so that I would have access to turning on Pilot Heat and when KIAS went to 0.00, I turned it on and it worked. Thank you so very much!

  13. It is indeed due to no pitot heat. Perhaps your panel switch does not turn it on in FS?

Thanks Tom! Will change panels and see what happens.

  14. Hi,

Happens on a regular basis to me as well. Your panel speed indicator will also go to 0kts.

Here's a screenshot from my VA's ACARS data from some yrs ago, others had this happen also:

    See the GS at 310kts.

And yes, pitot was on. I wonder if that even does anything besides moving a switch and turning on a light...

I use Active Sky, and by using the same weather data at the same airport I even could reproduce it, same location and altitude... And after about a minute or less everything went back to normal. Never seems to happen at cruise alt. Also aircraft independent, payware or freeware.

Screenshot was FS9 PMDG737, made the A/T go to full throttle... Had to cut it right away before busting the 250kts speed limit, of which I had no readout of course...

    Regards,

    DDP.

Thanks for sharing. My guess is that it has to do with a gauge that was added or changed. The sad part is I don't know which one it could have been.

  15. Within the last couple of weeks, navigational information activated by cntrl z would show the airspeed for a minute or so inflight then change to 0.0 as illustrated in the attached jpg.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and most importantly, how to resolve it?

    Thanks.

    Stewie

    Sorry - I meant Shift Z

  17. Does anyone have a repaint for the Feelthere or Premier Aircraft Design E190 in Wideroe Livery? I have not been able to find it anywhere.

My last resort is to try and convert my AI Aardvark E190 into a flyable plane. Has anyone else tried converting this plane? If so, is there any feedback on the cfg that I should adjust?

    Thanks!

  18. I tried what you suggested. I looked in the main FS2004 folder and did not see a Taxi2gate entry. Everything looked ok. The issue I have with the ST Lucia TLPC Scenery is this. In the summer season the grass appears normal. When I switch to any of the other three seasons the grass appears all greyed out. The only thing I could do to solve the issue was to delete the grass.bgl file so no tall grass appears.

I tried running a scan of the airport file to see if there were any duplicates but did not find any.

That's what I did as well, but my problem in addition to that was due to having the duplicate files.
