  1. You're correct. Here is a good article and explanation of PAPI and VASI in real life: https://www.boldmethod.com/learn-to-fly/systems/how-papi-lights-work-airport-vgsi-vasi/#:~:text=These%20lights%20are%20visible%20from%20about%205%20miles%20during%20the,NM%20from%20the%20runway%20threshold.
  2. From my experience, I don't notice them until I'm about four or five miles out on final. The other thing that is frustrating is that there are no, or very few, rotating beacons flashing to help locate airports. Hopefully, these are on the Asobo wishlist.
  3. I can't see why anyone flies FSX any longer. I would think if your system could "handle" FSX, there shouldn't be any problems running MSFS. I had FSX, P3Dv5, and deleted both of them when I downloaded MSFS and I haven't looked back. There are a lot of planes for every need you could have, with more coming week to week for MSFS. Go for it!
  4. So, I fire up MSFS and it says there is an update, somewhere around 3GB. It does say it is version 1.0.1. I can't find any news about an update and just wondering if anybody else is getting an update.
  5. Have you tried using Simbrief as your flight planner? It interfaces with the FBW 320. Check out their website: https://www.simbrief.com/home/?page=about Also:
  6. I read on their website yesterday that their server is going to be down for possibly two weeks.
  7. Just made a successful flight with the FBW Development.
  8. I can't seem to get the development version to work after this week's Sim update. I just get a CTD when I try to load a flight. Anybody else having any issues? It's the only thing in my Community folder. Thanks Just found this: https://docs.flybywiresim.com/release-notes/v073/ Still can't get the development version to work.
  9. Have you looked into this mod? https://flightsim.to/file/3655/asobo-cessna-citation-longitude-flight-dynamics-modifications-project-version-1-0
  10. Quote from flightUPDATE - Live Weather Issue - A server side fix has been deployed – You should now be able to experience MSFS using the Live Weather feature. simulator forums: "

  12. I've noticed the last day or two that I can't get the live weather either. Gives me clear skies and standard barometric pressure. UPDATE: Just noticed on the MSFS website that live weather is down.

You might want to check out the reviews on CaptainSim first.
  14. What kind of equipment do you have? Are results the same with all aircraft?
  15. The 787 comes in the Premium Deluxe package as well as some other bonuses. There is no 737 yet, but PMDG will be coming out with one soon.
  16. Does she pay for Avgas and let you flightsim too?
  17. I recently purchased the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS and I'm pretty happy with it. Make sure you get the Xbox version and not the Playstation. I've had both, and the Playstation version wasn't totally compatible. I found my Thrustmaster at Bestbuy for I think $79.99. Unless you're willing to fork over hundreds for a yoke, rudders, etc., I think this is the best deal for the money.
  18. Hi, I tried the aforementioned suggestions with the stable 320nx download. Still, not one instrument is illuminated. I can't think of anything else to try. When I delete the 320nx folder in the community folder, I do get the default a320 and the instruments work fine in it.
  19. Hi, So, I did the update without backing up or doing anything with the Community folder. After I did the update 3, everything worked in the community folder except for the instruments on the A320NX. I've since deleted everything in the community and re-installed the A320NX and still do not get an instrument readout. Everything else and all other planes appear to be working fine. Any ideas? Thanks
