  1. I will try and be as short and effective as possible. Is anyone here a member of HJG? Today, I registered with HJG the site is so complicated as to trying to get help for a paint question I gave up after trying to find a portal that would take me where someone could allow my question to be registered and resolved. I back here in hope that someone maybe a member HJG and can help me. The 707-120V7 has a paint for 707-121 Boeing Airplane Company Texture. I have attemped to use this paint it will not work no matter how many times I have done it over and over. In my opinon This texture will not work. HJG does a find job and I love their work but trying to get through someone for me is impossible. There is so many portals and I click on one for the forum it says cannot posts, am a registered User. I have no where else to go for help. Casey
  2. You Are Very Foolish to thow away money at piece of crap like this. Stay With FSX Casey
  3. I was very impressed with the early planes of the X-planes they are beautiful, for example the Douglas Mail Plane just beautiful it gives me the impression that people in the FSX world have no idea of the Douglas Mail Plane of 1922 or have no interest except tube liners which have no personality and all look alike. I flew on the first Boeing 707 Pan Am to Paris in 1959, I was with my mother on flight to Miami when I looked out the at one of the engines on our C-54 Eastern Air lines and it was smoking and the propeller was feathered. I guess shaped my interest in the planes of the late 1940s and 1950s. X-Plane is a nice platform with dedicated people just like FSX, looking at their design for the DC-3/C47 they don'nt seem to have a structure for the plane like we do for paints all you do is DL the folder and put the paint folder into the main folder iy appears much simpler then this abortion created by MS where I have corrected re-paints that I can count on both hands I received Mr Milton Shupe's help in trying to fix these things. This is just an observation but I will stay with FSX at near 80 yrs old I am not abot to start again. Thanks Casey

  5. I am having a Dickens with trying to get Greg Pepper's Convair series CV440 to work with the panels CV340 that Mr Pepper uses for the CV440, I have a paint for his CV440 called Jet One Express which works find but none of the panels work that I have tried other designers panels from this site They lock up with this box "Sound Ungluing. The INstructionbs that Mr Pepper gives are not for the CV440 but for the Douglas DC6! This makes not sense. Casey

  17. I am petition the airport designers to ask their interest in creating the Cartierville Airport near the city of Montreal Canada, I am collecting photograps so far as it looked from 1935 when the very first Norseman Bush plane made its first test flight with pontoons until it was closed in 1989. I asked one designer if they might be interested in creating this once great airport and airplane factory as it may have looked in 1935 or 1950's but I was told there was no ICAO. Well here it is CYCV this is the only ICAO CYCV that Cartierville is listed by according to the Ministry For Air, Canada. The pictures I found on the internet show the picture of the very first Norseman to fly taken with its builders at Cartierville Airport in 1935, from 1935 to 1959 the Norseman was manufactured. in 1949 the Government of Canada approached Douglas Aircraft Company to build the DC-4 at Cartierville, Montreal which was approved but the DC4 would be powered by Merlin Engines and called the North Star. In 1951 the US Air Force also petitioned Cartierville to begin production of almost 100 North American F-86F Sabre Jets for the Korean War. There is a lot of material on the internet about Cartierville Airport, if anyone is interested in bringing this wonderful airport back to life I can and will supply them with everthing I have. Please let me know, meanwhile I will continue to petition the many talented people who can preserve the past of Canada's aviation history. Casey Jones
