    .Nothing changed for a couple of hours after todays patch was released,but then the download began to work and I had a short flight.My blood pressure is getting back to normal.

    I can not see how to attach screen shot,but 2hours ago,reading left to right,I had (5/252) (39Mbits)88% Downloading asobo-aircraft-da62 livery...and on rhs 108 MiB/32.51GiB.The 108 switches to 104 and back every 2 seconds.I let this run for 2hours,then switch of the sim and back on and restart the update.The figures are then (7/248),the file is the Baron livery,and on rhs 1.90GiB/32.42GiB.The progress bar has moved to 6%.The 1.90GiB flicks from this to 1.88GiB every two secs as it downloads and decompresses the baron livery over and over again.I left it downloading overnight two days ago,and it was still downloading liveries.Surely new liveries do not take that long to download.

    Thanks.I will give it a try.Given the huge number of people who have managed to download it but get loads of CTDs I think they should issue an update to allow sim to start as in pre latest update until they get things sorted.What should I see in progress bars at bottom of screen when trying to download update?Mine is just gibberish.

    Today it stops with less than 1 gig downloaded.It is downloading Airbus livery over and over again.I got download speed of 300 Mbs just to run MSFS.Seems I wasted my time.I think the designers must all be on heroin.

    Ran update for 8 hours.Still on 0%,and still downloading liveries for one aircraft!How can I start Steam MSFS without downloading update?

    Been flying in France.The trees are much better than those in the English scenery.There are few conifers.You can imagine you are flying over England.Secondly,surely they can stop the static aircraft jumping up and down like looney leverets.

    Strange,because in England there is a preponderance of conifers.My memory suggests that it was not like that originally.The view of the English countryside rather kills the illusion.It is a bit like FSX, apart from not having trees in the middle of the farmers fields.but they did improve the grass,so they may have a go at the trees soon.

    I hope Asobo are working on UK trees.After update,on start up,I thought I was in basic FSX,with loads of conifers instead of deciduous and distribution on the fields looked different.The grass is yuk....even when turned down.A light aircraft would probably tip up on it and probably never get to lift off speed on take off.Pleased Burning Blue has sent the tree fellers into Headcorn.I can see the static aircraft now!

    Thanks for reply.They are the settings I have used for my flaps.They are the ones I use in FSX.

    I had everything working OK in MSFS.I then crashed the aircraft into a building,and all the yoke settings went bananas.It seems supernatural that there can be any link between the two.After resetting all the buttons etc 20 times following tutorials on youtube,I now have everthing working apart from flaps.When I move my flap switch,the flaps obey,both in external view and in the cockpit,but immediately revert to the first,10% position.I do not have any other flap commands ticked ,which might confuse it.The yoke works normally in FSX.

    No one else is moaning about these strips.I have nothing added at Cromer.The pdf images show several aircraft and other objects.When I unzip the file,every file in there shows zero content in the properties window.If I copy them into the community folder,they all show some content in that properties window.But there is zilch in the sim.

    Have got Volume 4.Beginning to see some objects,but aircraft and Flexwings do not show at any field.Here at Peterlee the caravans are missing.

    Yes,I have downloaded Vol2. Banbury is not in list of airfields,though it shows pics of it in the pdf.I have not got any objects to show in vol2 so far.My installation is Steam.My Packages folder has about 50 Microsoft entries,but non mention Flight Simulator.I am copying strip files into Community folder,which has worked with other scenery I have downloaded,

    I can not drag 152 up without near full elevator trim.

    I am finding it impossible to make objects show in Vol 1 and 3.I have opened the Zip file to desktop,and then copied and pasted either the whole file or individual airfield files to my community folder.In the case of Easterton,the whole folder of airfields produces nothing extra.if I paste just the airfield it adds a couple of cars and a windsock.If I try to unzip directly to my Community folder,it tells me it is an invalid folder.In the PDF Easterton has lots of Glider trailers etc.

    Thanks Steve and Johnny.I got it from Steam,but I can not launch it.I sent the computer to the suppliers but they have not had any success yet.I wondered if patches would start the sim,but many people seem to have same problem,so patches may not help.

    Early days,but the clouds are blurred on images released so far.
