    Everything has been running fine from the beginning but all of a sudden my desktop shortcut stopped launching the game. I then accidentally uninstalled the game from the icon in the start menu and then when I attempted to reinstall it in the Microsoft Store it downloaded the initial 1.32 gb and then I get an error message just saying something went wrong and that's where I'm stuck at now. I'm very frustrated and annoyed. Firewall is off. I rebooted. Don't know what else to do or why the error message. Any thoughts please? Thanks.

    No - scratch that - it doesn't work. First of all there is no slider there to slide anything from 0-Infinity. The choices are either 20, 30 or 60 fps. Secondly when I turn on the Vsync and set the selection to 30 fps and hit the save button the frame rate counter will show 30 fps but as soon as I turn off the Vsync the frame rates go right back up. Not sure how you are accomplishing this.

    Yes, it's a separate download and similar to the Nvidia Control Panel but offers a lot more options. I'll have to do some more experimenting to see if the two are interfering with one another.

    No good. Did a clean install with the 457.30 drivers and the sim still won't accept a frame rate cap using the Nvidia Control Panel but will using the Nvidia Profile Inspector. Very bizarre. Well, at least I have new drivers anyway.

    Just did some more experimenting to confirm and yes the frame rate limiter works in the larger Nvidia Profile Inspector but not in the Nvidia Control Panel. I might as well try the new drivers and see how that goes. Question - will that reset all my Nvidia settings (not the in-game settings) for FSX and MSFS back to default and should I note what they all were before I install the new drivers?

    I set it for 30 fps in the Nvidia Control Panel and Vsync in the sim is off. I don't have the absolute latest drivers installed. Mine are the 456.55 drivers.

    Yes. I have made other selections in there as well. Now I'm wondering if any of them have actually taken effect.

    When I set a frame rate limit in Nvidia Control Panel it has no effect in the sim but when I set it in the Nvidia Profile Inspector it does show up in the sim. Why is that?

    Can payware aircraft be exported from FSX to MSFS such as the first person "BOB" from ORBX? I always enjoyed walking around the detailed airports in FSX.

    Wasn't sure how to do a search for this but I recall that on a long flight there was something you could do with the ATC so you could leave your seat for a while and not get disconnected from your flight plan for not responded to ATC but I can't remember what it was. Thanks.

    Ok I don't know if I'm not understanding something but I attempted to d/l the LV scenery and it wouldn't install as a dialog box says I need to install the "GSX Level 2 Expansion" first, which looks like the GSX bundle costs $34.00. I have to purchase that first before I can install the scenery? Update: Disregard, I think I figured it all out.

    Does anybody know if MFS benefits from the PhysX System Software that can be installed along with the Nvidia driver? I don't think that FSX does.

    Ok it's working now. I reset all the in-game settings back to default, exited the game, re-booted and then started the game and now I have my weather options back. Not sure what it was that was blocking them before but I'll keep an eye on it when I configure my settings again. Thanks plainsman and Kapitan for your assistance.

    plainsman - not sure how it would be a problem with my install as it worked fine up until about 2 weeks ago and then just stopped working. The only weather that works is if I choose "Snow" and then I see snow. All of the other options just show a clear sky. Kapitan - I reset the panels and that had no effect.

    I'm not using the live weather but when I attempt to change the weather from any of the other selections they don't work. It's always clear blue skies no matter what I select. It worked previously. It's been like this for a couple of weeks now. Any thoughts?
