Thank you for this very usefull tip. I just bought MSFS2020. At first I used the wrong key-bindings for my Logitech Force 3D Pro joystick. And I crashed like hell. After reading your post, I changed the key-bindings. Voilá: now I can take-off, fly and land in a "normal" fashion. Thanks Westridge!
