  1. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on this, but the marketing hype is often wide of the mark when you closely examine the actual product. The fact is that Microsoft Flight Simulator isn't a PC game at all, the "PC version" is an Xbox for Windows App. Simmers choose to play MSFS on PC so that they can use their existing peripherals, most of which are not (yet) compatible with XBox. MSFS runs far better, smoother, and faster, on my XBox Series X than it ever has on my PC, and they're connected to the same Internet and the same Monitor.

that is because you have not a very good pc then, or set it up badly.

you have really quite a few things wrong, but ala, who cares anyway.

it runs great on console and pc , bot on pc it has all the extra mods etc.

that quickresume feature on the xbox yes, oh so handy, it will be coming to pc too..

but it has totally nothing to do with how saves are borked on pc.

  2. opinions , opinions thats all what we hear here, and i have those too.

it doesnt really matter whatever you play, as long as you have fun doing it.

still i see a trend of certain ppl really sticking to their old , probably heavily invested stuff, and bashing

the sim for no reason at all.

no way i can go back to the other sims, and it seems a vast majority thinks the same.

  3. i have only 10mbs and very smooth flight, you need to shut down a few online things like photogrammetry, live trafic.

so its all about balancing your particular system. ppl who complain about stutters have not done so.

and yes sometimes you cannot have all, for me this sim runs way more smooth than an fsx wih all orbx stuff , active sky....

and i run on pretty low specs, amd 5 2600 with nvidia 1050ti !!!

  4. maybe for some planes, certainly not for all, maybe you need to setup your peripherals better, the ga aircaft fly quite

realisitc in msfs, if you have set it up well.

i say p3d is dead, only a handfull with keep playing there, especially now with the dc6 out on friday.

it always amases me how people cling to their old stuff, yeah probably invested lotsa money there, well its old tech now.

  5. Just became a member with intent to improve my recent (last year) interest and use of the very complex 2020 sim. I really like the CJ4 Citation and want to add the CJ4 WORKING TITLE MOD I have been reading about. How does one incorporate the mod into the MSFS 2020. I don’t know where to find it, what it costs or what the steps are to make it operational.

If you could offer this novice user some steps to get there, it would be much appreciated.

its easy, first it costs nothing.

download it form github...google for exact place.

unpack and drop it in the communityfolder and go.

  6. Greetings,

I've used MSF for years and gradually drifted away from flying after using the Steam version since it's release. I was very excited about the prospect of MSFS and planned a new build for MSFS to get back into the hobby. Unfortunately I live in an area where internet speeds are no better than about 14-15 Mbps. Thus, as I understand I would require about 30 mbps or more to really enjoy or use MSFS.

I've never used anything other than MSF and was interested in anyone's thoughts about other flight sims out there that would be a noticeable upgrade (scenery, weather, and flight dynamics) compared to MSF that I could use as an alternative to MSFS. Preferably one that is well supported by 3rd parties with lots of add-on content. Example, I've used and enjoyed Air Hauler 2 in the past with MSF.

    Thanks for any thoughts. BJ054

i am not so sure, i have only 10Mbps and it works very fine, ofocurse on low/medium settings.

why not test it out via the gamepass, only 1 euro/dollar for 3 month., then you know if its possible.

i did that too and thats why i bought it.

  7. I have recently purchased a new PC (see hardware section) and I am delighted with it so far. I have installed FSX on the HDD, together with PMDG 737 and 777 both running smoothly with virtually all settings maxed out, I am now ready to try MSFS2020 and would like your opinions. I have an SSD dedicated for MSFS2020.

I understand that it is available on Xbox and that I can get a trial month membership for PC for £1. I contemplated doing this to try out the sim first but I have some questions.

Are there any obvious problems doing this?

After the trial if I cancel the membership will I need to delete the sim from my PC, if so will this leave any remnants which could interfere with the installation of a purchased copy from MS?

Can I purchase a key for the installed Xbox copy to allow me to continue to run it?

Sorry for all the queries but I know nothing about Xbox. Looking forward to your thoughts

it is not yet out on xbox, and it will only run on the latest ones, the series s /x.

if you have bought it via ms store for pc , the xbox version will run there too, its play anywhere.

with some luck it will arrive maybe this summer.

  8. jees, these whiner posts.

just dont play it then. many 10 k of ppl having fun with the sim.

vatsim is on now , and they hardly can handle the traffic, same for fseconomy.

a forum is meant for helping ppl out with questions hey have or issues. not for useless whining.

no one is denying there are loads of issues that needs solving, but its very flyable right now.

the mindset of some ppl is just wrong.
