  1. You will have to create a Microsoft Xbox account purchase to from Microsoft store and to use flight simulator. The account is free, no subscription required. You can use your existing email and should. Purchase from MS Store unless you already use steam.
  2. Are you only concerned that the switch is no longer illuminated? As I understand it, approach phase handles it all. this might help. https://docs.flybywiresim.com/pilots-corner/beginner-guide/landing/
  3. Yes there are. Of which type hardware do you seek? Search something like airbus + throttle setup.
  4. A RTX 4080 @41c, you get the IceMan trophy! Choppy frame rates and having to restart means what? Single digits? Live Wx changes? Doing a live stream while flying? What else? I don't usually fly past the 2 hour mark myself. But I do use Live traffic (PSXT-RealTraffic) Live ATC, and Navigraph Charts (with Simconnect), and often search and read forums and watch utube while flying. Some have said deleting their rolling chache helped.
  5. What does Windows see it as? Type game controller in your windows search bar. Store version has an XBox profile also.
  6. You need to check how it is bound to each device you have connected, keyboard, mouse, throttle, flightstick, rudder pedals (yes, check them all). In the search bar on the left, type flaps. Clear or leave what you desire. Sometimes during an update things get reset to what they think is normal and it doesn't work for all or most of us.
  7. I use keystokes for mine. I don't think there are any incremental settings, but might be through SDK, A&O's, FSUIPC or other means. I use Num/ for Toggle Spoliers, and Rt Shft + / for Toggle Arm Spoilers, with the latter auto deploying them on landing.
  8. Pause is sometimes an active pause that freezes your aircraft only while the sim moves on. That explains what you are seeing, the roller coaster scenario. Check or search for differences between "Active Pause" and "Pause" in MSFS and do a keybind for the one you prefer.
  9. You are having an issue in the forum on posting your attachments. But, I hope you are aware that PMDG plans are .rte format. Are you using the Simbrief Downloader? I went and read your post again. You have a sim nav data issue. I say that because you said you thought you were having sim issues and did a repair, and don't see waypoints, only airports. Use your Navighaph tools to correct.
  10. For PMDG are you using the Navdata Center to update your nav data? its different than other traditional aircraft. Also in the PMDG documentation there is a detailed instruction on loading imported simbrief plans. In simbrief, you can specify where to download the flight plan to, saving you a step. I can help you more this afternoon after work if needed.
  11. Defective keyboard? You might try to repair you copy of MSFS. There is a specific procedure for that.
  12. I agree. It seems buried somewhere. Use the camera menu from the toolbar and then renumber it to you liking. Don't think I would ever uninstall to fix. Just me.
  13. I have one I no longer use along with the P8 in the carrier box. Prepay box and shipping and its yours.
  14. I expect pricing to be like they did for the P3D releases. One price for one model, and any additional was substantially less. They already announced that if you bought the NGxU between a certain date, they would give you a certain dollar credit toward the MSFS purchase. Pity I bought the NGx and not the NGxU. Oh well. But who knows, we can speculate on cost all day until release.
  15. So tomorrow, May 3rd, MSFS Forums read only. Today 3 new PMDG video's. Hmm.
  16. My best guess would be after release of SU9. That needs to settle first. Everyone out there showcasing it has either been on the testing team or has early adopter access.
  17. For your vrinsight FMC/MCP wouldn't you need to use Linda? Here is a link at avsim. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/583434-linda-414a-msfs-2020-compatible-4-mar-2022/
  18. In the past there have been downloads at the polypot software site for setups of some equipment, user created/uploaded. Hope you checked those.
  19. It would most likely be from a 3rd party add-on for AI like AI Manager from Alpha Inda Group. A little bit to set up, but worth it. https://www.alpha-india.net/2021/11/02/aig-ai-manager-for-msfs-public-beta-starting-soon/?msclkid=86a6f63bb36b11ec96fc5e6650657e0d
  20. I did just that yesterday, no issues. I even did it with the batch file download. If that is the only airline you are having issues with then not much of a problem but more than one, then someting else is going on. Space issues?
  21. Overclocking happens at the BIOS level. I would bet that there are many utube video's out there specific to his particular motherboard on how to do it, or rather in his case better understand what it is currently set at. My motherboard manual explains it in detail also. I know in my case, a mild overclock did not work with MSFS, causing CTD. Since no OC, not a single CTD.
  22. There is a lot here that you haven't said. Other graphic settings low/mid/high/ultra. Also many other items effect your GPU use. Although you were OK earlier, and now things have changed, perhaps it time again to go through a capability setup of your hardware. Knowing that MSFS is a single core (CPU) system and that the GPU will in fact try to melt itself with the insane graphics its trying to render is only making you more concerned. Perhaps a 21 minute video by Q8Pilot might help you. Look for "Complete settings guide with tweaks and tips". Of course there are many other fantastic guides out there too. Once you get to your comfortable level again, then Asobo will certainly have another update out that breaks everything for you again.
  23. I think Asobo has some very specific instructions on removing and reinstalling. You might look around the official MSFS site for that. Also, I do hope that you are considering at least an external SSD over a standard platter drive. Even better if you have an internal slot for a drive, but I'd guess you have a laptop. Anyway, take your time, read, re-read and best of luck!
