  1. 1. Is it a Windows game? If YES, then wrong forum. If NO, see 2.

    2. If it is an add-on airport for FS2004 & you know the name, then search in the library for it. If NO, see 3.

    3. See 1.

    LOL. Beautifully written!!!!!

  2. Me too. But only after a re-boot. Then it always starts on the first try. Opening up the manager always depicts (2) FS9 entries running.

Glad to hear about you all experiencing the same. Win7 here as well. Started for me after Microvirus ended support fort Win7.

  3. Still haven't heard back from Hi-Fi. Perhaps bam-bam can share his little secret as to why he's immune from the same problem we are all experiencing. Heck. Maybe he even knows the genetic sequencing formula that will result in the Covid vaccine? :o
  4. >>And I am sure you meant well too. But I used the program yesterday and didn't have an issue. Interested to know what HiFi tells you.

Yea I bet you do little buddy!!!

  5. Capt Charlier,

Same problem here. As you exactly described, just in the past 3 days which renders the replies to your inquiry totally baseless. I'm sure they meant well. I have contacted HiFi and will provide my response here for you.

  6. And nice work BTW Mitch. I reinstalled FS9 a while back (no BS!) just so I could check out your KJAX project. :)

Thanks Jim. You taught me some things regarding "night lights" a year or so ago. Thank you sir.

  7. I think his point is if you're hung up on a 17 yr old outdated sim you'd better get used to 17 yr old outdated addons!

And some of us are updating these "17 yr old outdated addons" to present day. Counter point!

  8. Everyone,

Greg Peters brought to my attention some anomalies and issues with this release. What happened is Mach-1 apparently, and unbeknownst to me, released (2) versions of BNA back in 2007. I re-did the 2020 Edition using the oldest version. Greg educated me on a newer version (v11) which had several changes including a missing texture.

As a result, the past few days I have been re-doing my previous work to blend with version (v11) and completely new full release is now available here https://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=ftp&DLID=216594 and later today here at Flightsim!

The new version is titled KBNA2020Edition_V2

    * The new addition will fix the over zealous night lighting at Terminal E.

    * Missing parking garage texture included with better lighting.

    * Ramp lighting.

    * Darker and more realistic terminal building lighting at night.

    * Option for users to choose between two textures sets: DXT1(no mips) and DXT3(with mips).

Very sorry for the problems. Greg Peters has also edited a more up to date Afcad which is included.

  9. If all you use your computer for is FS2004, then sure, Windows XP is fine. However...if you do any sort of banking, or work with sensitive material, or want to play the latest games, then you're out of luck.

You'll also find that obtaining drivers for new hardware harder and harder to find (even some processors have a minimum OS requirement)...but like I said; if you have an ageing computer, and FS2004 is your primary sim, Windows XP can serve you well.

    Wrong! Win7 my friend.

  10. Hi Mr. Peter,

I 'm using Windows XP and FS9 and it runs smooth and NO headaches with the thousand different version PD 3.0 etc who needs this.

All my planes fly perfectly and AI I use thee SAME original, texture, panel, sound, planes !

134 planes, GA, JET, Military WWII, Seaplanes are flying WITHOUT any stuttering at all ..

    iLE

Who needs the headaches with all this Incompatibility, P3Vxx version and Windows Vista,7, 8, 10 crap ...??

    Not me ...

    Sincerely

    G. Kirschstein

    A-freaking-MEN!!!!!!!

  11. You should be using nVidia Inspector with FS2004 and Windows 7 to get antialiasing, especially in full screen mode. Read all about it and download it here: https://nvidiaprofileinspector.com/download-nvidia-profile-inspector/

Towards the top of the profile settings in your nVidia Inspector profile you will see a setting called "Antialiasing compatibility." Set that to "0x004412C1 (Diablo III)" and antiaiasing should work again in full screen mode.

I agree fully with Tim Wright "Tiger's" assessment.

Also, keep in mind that AMD cards were known to have problematic issues with FS9. I became aware of it years ago when building our simulator. We were attempting to incorporate AMD's "Eyefinity". What a disaster. Matrox Triple & Doublehead cards fixed this issue.

  12. My guess is that it maybe a corrupt texture issue. FS2004 is well known, and documented, for this anomoly.

CRJ_simpilot isnt there a program that checks for this and roots it out? My memory is escaping me. I remember having a similar issue near "Columbia, SC." and for the life of me cannot remember what was suggested. Whatever it was fixed it. Still drawing a blank. Opa would know. God Bless his soul.

There is a way and I will eventually remember it. Of course assuming its a corrupt texture. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. Regardless, I would recommend the original poster to search this issue outside of any forum and hopefully you'll come across what I'm referencing.

  13. What's the maximum rate of descent you can achieve with full flaps and gear down at e.g. 100kts?

For drag verification; Engine out glide speed is 92kts and the ROD should be ~800fpm

Finally an educated response versus a guess.
