    Try this: Departure airport Arrival airport Close flight plan (Load for arrival procedure if desired at this time.) Open flight plan Scroll to highlight destination (or approach) Work BACKWARDS along your flight planned route and enter waypoints. They will populate your flight plan in the spot ABOVE the highlight.

    This may work for you. Copy the ‘scenery.cfg’ file from your old computer and paste to the new one. This file, on my Windows 10 machine, is located in ‘C: ProgramData/Microsoft/FSX’. (You may have to ‘unhide’ the 'ProgramData' folder.) Make a backup copy of the new ‘scenery.cfg’ file before overwriting it just in case. If you have the exact same scenery files transferred from old to new, it should not cause any problems. If there are changes, you can manually edit the ‘scenery.cfg’ file. Just ensure the numbering [Area.xxx] is sequential.

    Regarding the crash on launch (but not the mysterious disappearing hard drive), go to the location of your ‘fsx.cfg’ file (something like ‘User/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX’). Remove ‘fsx.cfg’ and ‘wxstationlist.BIN’ via cut and paste to a temporary storage folder. FSX will build new ones on the next start. Sometimes the FSX program gets confused on closing and adds files ‘Previous flight.FSSAVE’, ‘Previous flight.FLT’, ‘Previous flight.WX’ and possibly ‘navlog0.HTM’ to the folder. Remove those files via cut and paste, and store them temporarily as well. Start FSX. WS
