PMDG 777: Working CPDLC?

Hello everyone, I was reading through the PMDG 777 1.5 tutorial and I found something plesently shocking: a screenshot of a CPDLC clearence page on the eicas! Did PMDG add this in SP1D? Here is the quote from the manual "As the APU powers up, you notice an •ATC prompt on the EICAS with a note at the bottom of the upper display that says “LARGE ATC MESSAGE.” To display the message, you select COMM on the display control and see the following on the NEW MESSAGE pages." If this did get implemented, I am hoping PMDG opens this up to third party developers, imagine if VATSIM ATC could use CPDLC to give pre-departure clearance! Or if VA ACARs could use the CPDLC instead of a separate window! Does anyone know if this is a new feature in SP1D? Or has this been in all along and I am missing something
