QW757: Atlanta to Pensacola in Stormy Skies

Recommended Posts

Hello, everyone.

I'm really excited to share this set. I just switched to P3D and took my QualityWings 757 along with me. When combined with REX, GSX, and ActiveSky Next (do all the best add-ons rhyme?) the result is a visually-stunning experience. I hope you enjoy!

The flight is from Atlanta (KATL) to Pensacola (KPNS). The weather forecast predicted some storms...

Catering getting the plane ready for boarding.

Apparently this gate doesn't have a jetway. The stairs will have to do.

3loading.jpg

Loyal Delta passengers only use red and blue suitcases...

"Bye!"

Not loving the look of those skies...

(Part 2)

11whiteout.jpg

More rain with the clouds to match.

12lightning.jpg

Can you spot the lightning strike? (And do you have any idea how hard it is to catch a lightning strike in a screenshot!?)

13morerain.jpg

More rain.

14rainwing.jpg

Same rain; different view.

15rainflyby.jpg

Rainy flyby.

16final.jpg

The skies clear as we turn final to KPNS

17flare.jpg

About to touch down.

18touchdown.jpg

Right between the stripes.

19rollout.jpg

Unlike default FSX, P3D records control surface positions for replays.

20welcome.jpg

Welcome to "The Upside of Florida."

Thanks for viewing!

Nice shots Noah, as for your one picture about lightening yes I know how hard it is to get a print screen of that in that very short time span. I had one in SLC the other day looking out my cockpit panel view there it was double lightening bolts to the ground, I couldn't capture it quick enough. I tried a few minutes later there were no lightening again. Kenny

No joke I took close to 100 shots trying to get a mediocre one. It's funny because much like in real life, sometimes there's a little pre-flash right before a big one. This can help you time it sometimes... but not always.

Thanks for the comments.

Wonderful set of shots. Glad the flight was a safe one. As for capturing lightening with the "V" key, it happens much to quick for me too. I have had to use FRAPS to get a screen shot of it. Jim
