Sebiac
Hi, I just bought the PMDG 737 NGX a few hours ago and ever since then I've been playing around with my FSX configs and settings. But even with EVERY SETTING disabled I still get a horrendous frame rate. What's strange is that I get the same frame rate with everything on highest settings and on lowest setting, 7-9 FPS. However, when flying the default Boeing 737 and settings on ultra-high, I get 20-30 FPS. It's really not making sense, so I was hoping someone could help me out. Notes: I run FSX: Steam Edition REX 4 is installed and being used (at lowest resolution) I have the venetubo.com/fsx.html FSX config tweak Specs: AMD FX-6300 @ 4.3 GHz 8 GB RAM XFX R9 270X Graphics Card I feel like these are pretty good specs for FSX, so my suspicion are that my graphics card is too hot. It usually idles around 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit, but I've seen it go up to 120 degrees on a long flight.
MBKHOU
It should be doing better than that. I ran the NGX on a Phenom II at 3.5 ghz and had no real problems. And your CPU is more powerful than that one. There is something that is bogging things down, but I couldn't say what.. But I'd guess likely video or video setting related. mallcott
If it's 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit, that's brilliant. If it's 80-100 degrees Celsius, you have big problems. REALLY big problems. And those should be a far higher priority than any of this PMDG fps nonsense.
