American B777-223ER
SF+Question Mark+SF...not sure what locations pics 4-7 were flown over. Btw SF is the abbreviation for San Francisco and related areas. http://i60.tinypic.com/ejwmc5.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/35lz43k.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/5v1yu1.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/xgiq89.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/2urtlbp.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/124wykh.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/16av9kk.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/sl06fb.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/9lbes8.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/scxv81.jpg Darryl
PhantomTweak
IF I had to guess, I'd say #7 is the Sacramento River, where it empties into the Bay. Edwards AFB should have been close to dead ahead. I think (although very seldom. it just gives me a headache!). I am usually mistaken, however. Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Rupert
Pretty planes! Higher than I usually like to fly. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
PhantomTweak
Higher than I usually like to fly. Chopper pilots get much above 300' AGL they start to get panicky! ;) I think it has to do with their big fan not blowing enough air down on them to keep them cool, or something, heheheheh! Kidding, of course, you know that (I hope!) Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! Kdierken
Great pics, the scenery views are fantastic as well as the A/C. Sporty aircraft too, I guess that is why it called Piper Sport. It looks as though you have another plane taking pics of yours. Kenny

HoggyDog
IF I had to guess, I'd say #7 is the Sacramento River, where it empties into the Bay. Edwards AFB should have been close to dead ahead. Betcha meant Travis AFB. Edwards is miles n miles n miles away from the Bay Area. I think (although very seldom. it just gives me a headache!). Here, try my hot pink merkin. It hurts so much to wear that your headache, while still there, will fade into insignificance. You're welcome. :p i7-10700K @3.8-5.1GHz, 32GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM, GTR-2060 Super 8GB, 2x SSDs

PhantomTweak
Betcha meant Travis AFB. Edwards is miles n miles n miles away from the Bay Area. Betcha you're right! That's what I get for posting after I wake up, before I've had my medicine! By the same token, I'd forget my own name if people didn't keep calling me by it. I still can't figure out why my parent's named me "Hey, jerkface!" though... Here, try my hot pink merkin. It hurts so much to wear that your headache, while still there, will fade into insignificance. That's what you get for wearing a moose-merkin down here in the states. It is just too bloody HOT down here for such things! And I still say categorically that those are some some great pics of where I grew up. I even learned to fly gliders at 14 in Calistoga, upper end of the Napa valley. Fantastic hotsprings, wonderful public pool to enjoy, a geyser park, they even have a small herd of "fainting" goats there, of all things. At the geyser park. Smells horrible. Maybe the goats, maybe the geysers. At 14, I had "other" things to care about. Nowadays it's all hyper-yuppie, wine-tasting tours, weird foods, the works. Even have to dodge 10 million hot air balloons if you want to fly anywhere. Humbug... Pat☺ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Had a thought...then there was the smell of something burning, and sparks, and then a big fire, and then the lights went out! I guess I better not do that again! Rupert
Chopper pilots get much above 300' AGL they start to get panicky! ;) I think it has to do with their big fan not blowing enough air down on them to keep them cool, or something, heheheheh! Kidding, of course, you know that (I hope!) Pat☺ It's not the fan that worries us. We'd much rather it be turned on than off! It's the gun fire we concentrate on! When you travel as slow as we, you better stay really low so the other guy doesn't have nearly as long to aim at you. At 1,500' AGL I don't just get nose bleeds, I also worry about panic attacks! So basically I worry I'll get worried. Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
American B777-223ER
Not sure if I used MegaScenery X or BlueSky or both. What photoscenery are you using around the bay? Looks great. :) Btw...thanks for the commentary, something better coming Tuesday. :) Darryl
