I have recently discovered some of my Texas airports are gone. San Antonio & all the ones around are gone. Austin is still there. I am trying to figure out where on the FS2004 disc is the right files. I know the scenery files are on disc 4. I really do not want to do a full install. Any help would be appreciated.

Either something has deleted those bgl files or deleted/corrupted their entries in scenery.cfg.

The list of CD contents (thanks, Jim) are here - https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?245236-Contents-of-FS2004-disks

If the pertinent bgl files are still in your FS9 install then you will need the scenery.cfg (just copy the appropriate lines into your existing .cfg unless you want to start from scratch with the default .cfg).

Have you added any scenery that had you replace a default file?

KSAT is in ...\FS9\Scenery\NAMC\scenery\AP921210.bgl

That file should be dated May 21, 2003 and weigh 12,924 bytes.

If it is missing or has been modified you will have to retrieve it off of your FS9 discs.

Thanks. I have the file but it is dated 2011 instead of 2003. I have not installed any scenery for a while. Also I had flown to KSAT a few months ago & everything was fine. Will try swapping files.

Problem solved. Thanks allot. One question, how did you know what cities or airports are in which BGL file? I have the excel sheet with the files that are on the install disks.

I opened KSAT in Airport Design Editor (Afcad2.21 would work also) and looked at the airport properties.

If you have Airport Design Editor (which you should, if you don't, get it NOW) it will tell you. When you do an "Open Stock Airport" it will give you a choice of how you wish to find either an aiprot or a city or both. Once you have it, it will tell you what file and in what folder.
