MSFS request a disk to start

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone

Since the last update of Windows 11 Flightsim  asks me to insert disk 1 to start. As I installed MSFS from the Microsoft store I do not have a disk to launch MSFS.

What to do to solve the problem ??

Any help will be greatly appreciated .

Thanks

Now that sounds pretty bizzare... asking for the Disc when there isn't one! 😯

It's related to the MSFS disc set available in some regions. The licence validation isn't working somewhere, and the sim seems to fall back to looking for a disc. Not very a very clear error message.

Glad you're here to provide the 'gouge' to help folks out. It's what sets this place apart from the Others. 🙂

Try repairing the Xbox app In Windows App Manager, it can occasionally become corrupted. You might have to re-input your MS details.

Also make sure your Microsoft Store library is up-to-date, although that generally happens automatically. I still do it regularly though.
