pcohen
Hello everybody. I have a New Installation of FS 2004 which Is currently working well. I also have the following Add-ons FScene1 & FScene2 which are Scenery CD's and WORLD AIRPORTS 2. However, None of these CD's will load Past the first load-up screen. Any help or suggestions with this Please. Many thanks Paul Windows 10 2020. Processor: AMD Ryzon 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.59 GHz. Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB. piet06273
I have about 40 CD's and DVD's , from 'the old days' like Wilco's Airport2000 series and many JustFlight discs like FSceneX and Flying Club. Of these 40 only 15 still work and this amount continious to increase over the years. Funny though that my LAGO FSSE still installs perfectly. Original Microsoft discs are a disaster. FS2004 disc 4 stops when 'decompressing' AUST.Cab. Installing FSX Gold remains an adventure every time I do it. Not much help I'm affraid but seems like your problem discs seem all from: Just Flight? I5 12600K - RTX3060TI - 32GB 3600 - M2 - WIN11 - FS8/9/X - MSFS - full ORBX UTX etc.
douga66
Many of the old installers are 16 bit and won't work on new 64 bit operating systems. There's not much you can do there. SCM0616
If you have a backup copy of your previous FS9, you can copy and paste the scenery files manually along with the scenery.cfg entries. Should work for most sceneries except FS DreamTeam and FlightBeam which require their installer.
