StringBean
The assignment- deliver a new plane to Turkish Airways, FOB LTBA Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Ctrl+click to view full size in a new tab. The equipment- a shiny new B737-8F2. The route- 3 hops, 6300+ nautical miles. The travelogue... Wheels up, departing Boeing Field... Somewhere over the fly-over states... On final to KBGR, Bangor Intl. in Bangor, Maine. Stopping for fuel... Taxiing to the active at BGR... Saying goodbye to the daylight as we head to our North Atlantic Track entry point... Looks like we might see some daylight before landing at Manchester, England... I wonder if the livery earned us this parking, way out in the back 40. It is time for some go juice and a nap before the final leg... Taxiing to the active we get a good look at one of our bigger brothers taking off... More in the reply... WWOD---What Would Opa Do? StringBean
Our course pretty much bisects the European continent and most of it looked like this... On final to LTBA... ... Shut down, buttoned up tight and keys presented to the new owner... After a day on the beaches of the Sea of Marmara it is 2 days of commercial flights back to Seattle. Thanks for looking!!! peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots. StringBean
Thanks again for the kind comments. How long did it take you to complete that flight? I would have to check the logbook, around 15 flight hours over 3 hops, spread out over several days. very nice, looks like your system can handle very dense scenery w no problem! For what it is, it does OK. peace, the Bean WWOD---What Would Opa Do? Farewell, my freind (sp) Never argue with idiots.
