hgschnell
I hope, it is only a server problem. As V 1.96.8 and 1.99 work for FSX and P3D too, so it should go on some time...
hgschnell
I got an advice from a smart guy for a workaround. You have to redirect the access of www.3dsoftworks.net to your localhost. You have to open notepad as Administrator and edit the file C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and add the line: 127.0.0.1 www.3dsoftworks.net Use it on your own risk

jgf
Try just running notepad as admin long enough to edit the host file.
RCortez
Works without internet connexion In fact not change anything only start FSRealTime without internet connexion, then start your internet connexion and no problem. Mowgli22
I can edit the host file, just won't let me save it. I have to change the file name and save it to documents. That is my only option. jgf
The edit is not "official" until the file is saved; windows is blocking the save because of access permissions. Running as admin sidesteps this by giving you permission.

Thank you for sharing this post. It works perfectly and I am really pleased that there was a way around the problem with FS Realtime. Flying without FS Realtime is not really an option and this was very simple but effective fix. 1
