This month, we continue the World's Busiest Domestic Routes series of Challenges where we head to the United Kingdom.

 

London is the capital and largest city of England and the United Kingdom, with a population of around 8.8 million. It stands on the River Thames in south-east England at the head of a 50-mile (80 km) estuary down to the North Sea and has been a major settlement for nearly two millennia. The City of London, its ancient core and financial center was founded by the Romans as Londinium and retains its medieval boundaries.

 

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. The modern city is located between the rivers Almond and Esk on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, in the historic region of Lothian, bounded on its southern side by the Pentland Hills. Edinburgh is the second-most populous Scottish city and the seventh-most populous city in the United Kingdom.
