Dear Avsim,

Do You all Have a preference FS9 Vs X? Next computer I'll may go on to 2020 or 24...

I've been watching the Live streams of P3DX? videos too...

I've been flying, building (Freeware)scenery/planes in FS9/2004 for 20 years posting videos on YouTube etc.

I've been Using FS since '93, DOS through Win10.

I've had MSFT X since  whenever, just never really used it. I have so much work in 2004...

I'm going to install it again, get my Camsims, Project opensky, all my Air Buses, Boeings, Antonovs, etc., back, and of course rebuild a boatload of scenery.

Well 1st I'm going to see if I like the program, I never really gave it a chance!

Do I need a no CD crack, or any patches?

Sorry I rambled on, just a bit of background...

TIA

TS

1. This is not Avsim.

2. Is there any question here? Are you asking about FSX? Then no cracks are needed because FSX does not require a CD in a drive. Patches? So either you install SP2 for FSX or you install FSX Acceleration. You do not do both.

Ty,

I installed the 2 fsx disks, not the Acceleration.

I created a flight VHHX Old Hong Kong, 2  Bangkok VTBD, used the 747,(wound up in Middle of Apron) set Radio/gps Altitude etc.  I taxied to take-off position, Saved.

I took off, put it on auto pilot once I was up, saved. I then quit to work...

I turned it on again and wound up with default KLAX 2 KSEA, and a Airbus.

When I clicked on select flight, there were none. I went to flight planner, load, and it was there, but I had to redo everything again!

There is no option to select saved flights. The Planner files are in the Documents folder, along with saved flights, still no option to select flight...

Sorry "Flightsim" not "Avsim"

TY,

TS

Maybe it's just me, but what exactly are you asking?

How to load and run FSX?

Which is better FS9 vs FSX? (this is always a matter of choice, so many like them both).

Why can't you find certain flights?

I'm just a little confused as to what you are asking of this forum audience.

Did you define with the airport where you wanted to be? Active runway, gate, etc?

Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate. And never be low on Fuel, Altitude, Airspeed, or Ideas.

Ty,

PhrogPhlyer

Well now I'm asking why FSX is giving me a hard time?

JSkorna

My saved flights and flight plans have always been in Documents.

I can pull up my FS9 folder, and or FSX and they're there.

My program files folder is just the program, Scenery, Planes, exe, etc...

My %AppData%???.* folder is more or less just the config file

The option is there: it's called Load.

FSX is not giving you a hard time. It's acting just as it should. I just think you need to spend more time learning where everything is and how it works.

  • Thanks 1

Ty,

There is no option to load/ Select under the Flight tab! Reset-Save-Flight Planner-Nav log-End-Exit

In flight planner you can hit load and it will bring up my saved flights, and or the flight plans...

yours,

TS, sorry I just checked my FSX and sure enough right below Flights is Load, and sure enough your screen shot shows the same. I am out of this thread, good luck.
