michaeljulian
I am told I have to install SP1 and SP2 to add on certain aircraft etc. However when I go to load SP1 they ask me to re install FSX . My FSX Steam edition is on disks but my current computer has no disk facility. The old one has been destroyed. Any suggestions as to how I get round this problem? mrzippy
FSX Steam is a download from the Steam Store. How is yours on disc? FSX-SE contains Acceleration and does not need SP1 and SP2. Is there a verson of FSX now on your computer, if so what is it? Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
Founder Nels_Anderson Posted February 13, 2023 Founder Share Posted February 13, 2023 Mrzippy is correct and so it sounds like you're not really clear on what exactly you have there. Here's a thought...how much is your time worth? Currently a brand new copy of FSX Steam is about $25 and with that you get all the latest upgrades and don't need to deal with SP1 and SP2. Maybe spending $25 is a better solution that taking all the time it will take to figure out and install what you have now.
michaeljulian
Thanks guys. Yes I now recall that it was a box with a code inside and after rummaging around I found it. I can now try to go back to square one. Thanks again.
