Piasecki pioneered tandem rotor helicopter designs and created the compound helicopter concept of vectored thrust using a ducted propeller. He passed away on February 11th, 2008. The Piasecki H-21 directly lead to the H-46 Seaknight and the H-47 Chinook. 1 Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate. And never be low on Fuel, Altitude, Airspeed, or Ideas.
