Thoughts on 27" monitors.

Recommended Posts

Digital Storm in dream stage with i7-4790K and maybe two GeForce 970s with all associated storage and cooling.

Now!!!! What monitor in the $300 to $500 range that will work (single monitor). Have been looking for a comparison site somewhere and no luck so far.

Currently looking at ASUS PB278Q as an example. Cheaper would be nice, but, want clear cockpit and outside viewing. My old Gateway from 2002 won't even run FS9 anymore.

Gotta go as thunderstorm coming.

Question really is about what monitors are best in your opinion. Which would give better service 2560 X 1440 or 1920 X 1080?

I'm sorry!!! Forgot to ask 1920 X 1080 or 2560 X 1440 as on the PB?

I have ASUS PB278Q, it is the hottest 27" monitor out there, that's why it costs more than others. I watched and read tons of reviews, it's always in the center of the talk.

I was considering a 32" Acer, problem is big monitors are good for sim but not for other uses, even the 27" is too big for me for other than sim uses. If 90% of your PC use is sim than 32" would be best. Me I have time only for few flights a week.
