Traffic in FSX

I am running FSX Steam, and I have the slider for GA traffic all the way up. why do I not see planes moving around in the sim? I have downloaded the free traffic pack from Orbx also but still not movement. Am I missing a setting?

My guess is that there would only be default traffic available like World, Orbit etc for your AI as that is all I saw in my FS SE.....but I just purchased My Traffic 6 at a great price and it works in Steam as in other sims....al v

A) You might be in a location or at a time where there is no AI traffic, or

 

B) the ORBx traffic you downloaded might have renamed or removed the default traffic.bgl, or

 

C) the ORBx traffic file is in FS9 format which disables FSX traffic files., or

 

D) you downloaded another traffic file or one came bundled with a scenery file that is in FS9 format.

 

Solution for C and D: find and download AIFP (AI Flight Planner) and use it to search for FS9 formats. Then use it to convert them to FSX format and remove the FS9 files.
