Starting 2004 planes with ctl/e

Well somehow I removed the ability to start planes with ctl/e.

 

I can start them with the starter if the model has it but not the other way.

 

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Have you checked to see if the key binding got changed? That would be my first instinct if encountering this issue. Perhaps when adding a new controller the button or function that was added removed this key binding in the process.

I think I know what you are saying. But I don't know how to reset the keys.

 

I know it is using the settings but there are so many options. I see there are other keys do not work the same such as they use to such as shift/e for the canopy or doors.

Well I got it fixed. It was in the key assignments that was changed in the game and not the laptop.

 

The word binding threw me off. All is well now.

For future reference, there's a default Key Assignments document in your Main FS9 Folder and a couple other places on the Web. It's a handy reference to print out and have on hand in case you have to reassign a Sim function back to its default location.
