khunsu
Hi everyone, I recently decided to dust off my old game and joystic to play on my laptop I plugged an external monitor and use that one because it is bigger and leave my laptop monitor dark (my cg isn’t very powerful) However, even though my laptop recognises my external monitor as my primary monitor (other games launch in that one) fsx seems to struggle between the two. It seems to always launch on my laptop’s screen and if i put it back on my main screen i can’t hear some of the audio. The aircraft keeps making engine noise but the voice over in the lessons is quiet… unless i move to game back to my laptop I wanted to redo some of the lessons but without voice over it won’t be practical. Also i don’t remember if ATC has an audio but so far i haven’t heard them, only read their messages Is anyone else experiencing the same problem ? I run the steam edition if that helps
lnuss
Are you connecting via HDMI? It usually carries the audio. It is possible to have two separate audio streams, one (intended for the headset) that would carry ATC, and one for environmental sounds, including the engine, etc. You have choices about ATC audio, so check out your menus. Look in Settings/Sound, and choose the "Windows Sound Devices" from the drop down menus. Exploring the Settings and other menu choices often finds things you didn't know were there. Larry N. CRJ_simpilot
Or better yet, go into your video card driver software utility and ditch that audio nuisance option... For Nvidia it's the Nvidia Control Panel. Edited June 13, 2022 by CRJ_simpilot OOM errors? Read this. What the squawk? An awesome weather website with oodles of Info. and options. Wile E.
