Returning member / new system

Recommended Posts

Folks: I am coming back to FlightSim as a hobby (and to Flightsim.com) after long absence following the demise of FSX. I have spec'd out a new HP Omen system, but all of the present systems appear to be coming with native installs of WIN 11. So...in the old days...I'd be worried about compatibility issues...with MSFS 2020; with the Thrustmaster Airbus Joystick I am considering (which is WIN 10 compatible), etc.

Has anyone confronted WIN 11 issues yet, or can you point me to some reviews /articles re same?

Thanks for help.

Welcome back to the forum and this fantastic hobby :)

I upgraded to Windows 11 some time back and never had any problems. You don’t need Win 11 for the sim though (yet) Windows 10 is ok if you prefer.

Welcome back.

following the demise of FSX

Hmmm... I hadn't heard that it had died. Certainly it hasn't been produced for many years, but there are still many folks using it, and there are new add-ons being made, so I don't think it's dead yet...
