Sean McLeod
Another progress update from Phil: "The attached pic shows the competed throttle quad, now with all its linkages as well as the tank release handles. I'm starting the right-side switches console next."
Sean McLeod
Phil noted this: "I just noticed I hadn't made the trim unit behind the throttle, so that and a couple of other items there will be done next, then I'll hop over to the right side." Sean McLeod
Speedy work from Phil! I've finished the trim unit and e-brake box (see attached pic), that about wraps up the left side.
Sean McLeod
The next update from Phil: Here's the pilot's right side switch console. There is another panel behind it which I'm doing next, this has the arrestor hook and wingfold controls on it, plus the hand hyd. pump lever will be added between the seat and the console. Please note, these pics are from 3D Studio Max and so the parts shown will look a whole lot better in the game when PBR materials are added, so the switches will be shiny metallic and the knobs shiny plastic etc.
Sean McLeod
"Hi Sean, another update, I've completed the aft end of the right side console and hyd. hand pump. I'm on to the control stick and pedals now. Regards, Phil"
Sean McLeod
"Hi Sean, attached shows latest work on the Tigercat cockpit. Stick and pedals now done. I'll attempt to use mesh animation for the flexible parts like the stick gaiter and pedal hoses, not sure yet how this is done in XP though. Next up will be the lower instrument panels, left, center and right. Regards, Phil"
Sean McLeod
Hi Sean, the three lower instrument panels are now complete. Next up is the main panel. Regards, Phil
Sean McLeod
Hi Sean, the main instrument panels are now complete, next up will be all the gauges, followed by the gunsight. Regards, Phil
Sean McLeod
Hi Sean, the main panel is complete, missing gauge is authentic, the radar altimeter was only fitted to night fighters. Gunsight is next, then the glazing (mapped for XP12 rain/ice fx of course), then it's all ready for animating. Regards, Phil

Sean McLeod
More progress... Hi Sean, Here's some WIP pics of the VC in XP. Mostly done, just need to animate the gauge needles and a few little things. There is no gunsight glass, the reticle was projected right onto the windshield. The 'missing' gauge is authentic as this is a day fighter, radalt was not fitted. The glazing is all set up for XP12 rain fx, so I'll send some shots of that feature soon.
