alex1
Hi! Welcome to all forums! I would like to ask for your help in generating AI traffic for Hungarian military airports in the program called Flight simulator 2004. / Szentkirályszabadja, Kecskemét, Szolnok /. I found Hungarian textures on various pages and the AirCraft configuration file. But unfortunately I couldn't find the machines that belong to them. Or, if I found it, after rewriting the configuration file specified in their instructions, I won't see the machines at the specified airports. I generated the traffic files with Ttools, but it still doesn't work. At the airports, I set the appropriate parking size in the Afcad files, which is in the AirCraft configuration file. And for some reason it doesn't work. I would like to ask for your help in this, thank you in advance for your answers. Alex
tgibson_new
Did you copy and paste the title= line from the aircraft.cfg file into the aircraft.txt file before creating your traffic BGL file? hjwalter
Alex, First of all, the TTools program uses three basic and interrelated folders, the AI Aircraft folder, the airports folder and the AI flight plans folder. Each aircraft included in the TTools aircraft folder must have it's own unique number, it's cruise speed, which should be the same as that specified in it's aircraft.cfg file AND a description which MUST BE EXACTLY THE SAME as the titel in the same aircraft.cfg file. Any inconsistency between these three linked data elements will cause problems and especially the last one will result in the AI aircraft not being activated and consequently not appearing at the airports specified in it's TTools flight plan(s). Also take into account that AI aircraft are normally not selectable for viewing, like the user flyable aircraft are. This is because the "aircraft type" specified in an aircraft's model file can be "0" (zero) = non selectable AI or "2" = selectable and user flyable. Also, do not forget that an aircraft's model file is always directly linked to it's dedicated texture files and therefore cannot be used with any other aircraft's texture file(s). Furthermore, AI and flyable model files cannot be interchanged. I hope this helps you to sort out your problems. Regards Hans

What you wrote I understand, but unfortunately it did not help solve the problem. Because I did everything the way (at least I HOPE) as I read it in the description. I downloaded the helicopter that was in the texture description and also copied the configuration file. I hope so? If you will allow me to attach the two instructions. Maybe you can find something I didn't notice or did wrong ..... Sorry if my letter is a bit confusing but I don't speak English I wrote a translator. Thank you in advance for your help and response. alex1
I welcome and thank you very much for your reply. I don't think so. I hope it's not a problem if I copy the two txts here to see if you can find a bug. Thanks for your response. And I apologize for the weird wording, but I'm writing with a fart. caphavoc
Not sure if I'm stating the obvious here, but ... each of the [fltsim.x] entries need to be sequentially re-numbered, that is: [fltsim.0], [fltsim.1], [fltsim.2] et cetera. If you have already done that though, I'll butt out. :) Regards, Dorian

ColR1948
Are the textures in a a single folder? Check spellings, do they match the spelling in the aircraft.cfg, I've often seen it where they differ, they have to be the same? Does the sim=mi-24 match the the air file? I've seen it where one might say MI-24 and the other says mi-24, check everything including texture names? Edited: I downloaded the helicopter but only 1 texture in the the file, those others won't show, I'll have another look I might be missing something. Col. GKKnupper
hi, I'm confused, do NOT understand what are you trying to do !! Just RECONFIGURE the Heli to FLY it as a Helicopter, IF it flies than see whether you can select the different Textures AND THAN create your files for AI !! Sincerely G. Kirschstein P.S. I just peeked at it and the Heli does NOT fly at ALL !
alex1
Good evening Hans! I would ask for your opinion again and your help. The problem is the same, only with 8 other machines. But now the configuration file is now recognized and handled by the 3 machines, but not five. I used everything according to the instructions. The package includes 8 paintings in two separate libraries 3 and 5.SBAI MI-8, SBAI MI-8MT, but in turn their flight plan is common. so I don't understand why you handle one type and why you don't. I would like to ask for your help in this if I can. Thank you very much in advance. i copy the two files to see if you notice anything i don't. Thanks: Alex

alex1
Good evening! My problem i just the following ones. I would like to apologize to everyone, but I am very amateur in this kind of subject. Maybe that's why it wasn't clear and easy to understand. The two textures, in two separate folders, contain 1- / 3301/3304/3305 / + CFG TXT files. 2- / 701/702/703/704/705 / + CFG TXT. But THE TWO TEXTURES HAVE A JOINT PLAN FOR THE FLIGHT. That’s why I don’t understand why it only handles one texture and why it's not working for the other one eather. I hope i've explained it well. Thank you for your PATIENCE and UNDERSTANDING. As well your huge help! Alex
defaid
Hi. The model does appear for flight 705 so the problem is not anything to do with the flightplan or with the model: both of those are working correctly. I believe that the problem is that while FS can find texture 3304, it isn't able to find texture 705. The two most likely causes are: 1. that the relevant entry in aircraft.cfg is not pointing to the correct texture folder. 2. the texture files for 705 are damaged or are not named correctly. Could you please post the [flightsim.XX] entries in aircraft.cfg for the second set, 2- / 701/702/703/704/705 / + CFG TXT If possible, it would help if you could also tell us the path to the texture folder (for example C:\FS2004\Aircraft\SBAI Mi-8\Texture.705) Cheers, D
