stinger2k2
Hi guys, Is anyone/everyone seeing water climbing the base of mountains and hills that doesn't pop into place until close? I attach an image to explain what I mean and also my current settings. I have tried setting everything in the sim to ultra but it doesn't seem to improve matters. It seems to be a LOD issue. regards Stinger My PC specs...... i7 10700 nVidia 2080ti nvme SSD. 32gb Ram
tiger1962
Yes I get this. My graphics are all on Medium settings and it seems like an LOD issue to me as well. Maybe there's an improvement at Ultra settings, but I'm sticking with Medium for now. Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." stinger2k2
I think Asobo must have dialled down the LOD because I don't remember seeing this issue at release. Mind you my memory is not that good these days! Lol Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
tiger1962
Your memory's fine! I just checked the official forums and it was noted after the USA world update. There are some great screenshots showing the extent of the issue in this thread, where you can also vote for Asobo to fix it: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/coastline-glitch-water-creeping-up-coasts-cliffs/328532 Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..." cianpars
I noticed that too, but put it down to poor watermasking. Now we know what the issue is, I'm hoping that Asobo will fix in the Jan update along with the terrain spikes.
