Im looking at some setups at my local electronics store, and have been out of the FS loop for a few years. Looking for some help on a rig that will run MSFS with plenty of uumph. I have narrowed it down to a few systems. Please advise. plainsman Posted November 3, 2020 Share Posted November 3, 2020 MSFS does not really run well on a HD, so the only system that you show that looks acceptable is the 4th one. It will not run the program with "oomph". To really run the program with "oomph", you will need cpu either a Ryzen 7 5800X or I5 10600K or better. GPU an RTX 2070Super or a RX 5700XT. Memory 32GB of 3200 speed. Storage a fast SSD or M.2 of at least 1TB. I7-9700K, RTX-2070, Asus Strix Z-390-H MB, 32gb G Skill 3000 CL15, Corsair Obsidian 750D case, WD Black 1tb M.2, Crucial CT500MX SSD, Seasonic Prime 750W Titanium PSU Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
guzler Posted November 3, 2020 Share Posted November 3, 2020 The newer NVidia 3070 cards are in the process of release and offer the capability of a 2080Ti for £550-£650 so may be worth looking to one of them to give some future proofing on the game. Alternatively, AMD have announced some very competitive cards for release this month (6800/6800XT/6900XT) System: I7 8700k 3.7Ghz, RTX3070 inno3d iChill X4, 32Gb 3000Mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM, 2 x 1Tb ssd, 1 x M.2 ssd, 1 x 250Gb ssd, 32" Gigabyte monitor, Thrustmaster T.16000m controller Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
