setting up customized keyboard- newbie needs help!

I'm trying to set up a keyboard specifically for FS9, but I am completely lost. I've seen various threads with pictures

(https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?240787-My-custom-flight-keyboard-mod), (https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?265755-My-recently-built-homebuild-set-up), (http://www.rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims/k172_ga_keyboard.html) and mentions of software like HidMacros; it all looks awesome but I'm still completely lost.

My goal is to have a key for AutoPilot, a key for start (not the defult Ctr-E, but one for left, one for right, one for start etc), a key to turn on ATC, GPS, lights (not the default L, which activates all lights at once) key for flaps, mix, avionics on/off, fuel on/off, landing gear up/down... BASICALLY keys everything you can do with the default FS9 Cessna, and can be used for other planes too. My goal would be to have everything (every button, know, switch, activity you can do in the cockpit) through a keyboard(s), so that I don't have to use a mouse any more (or at least minimum use).

some ideas I'm aiming for: (just the keyboard setup part)

or even something more simple like these: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/attachment.php?attachmentid=134515&d=1348567575&thumb=1, https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/attachment.php?attachmentid=134514&d=1348567572&thumb=1

The only thing I can currently do it F6, F7 for flaps, and things like P for pause. I've seen things online, but there's too much "multiple button presses" (fn+shift+ctrl+OMG) to make it enjoyable when actually flying

GOAL- keyboard that controls all features possible, no more mouse, single press controls.

total newbie, so please bear with me. (been simming for exactly 10 days but I have big goals lol)

... a little help here would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

this is for FS2004- just in case that makes a difference

If you are a newbee you have to learn a lot!

I think the cheepest way is to use one ore more additional keyboard and the HidMacro freeware. You also need FSUIPC, I think the payware version. The keyboards must be connected by USB.

You have to understand the way keybords are handled by the comupter when they are connected by USB-ports. If you have two keybords connected to the same computer both keyboards are used the same way. If you press 'A' on first keyboard you get an 'A' in the computer, when you press 'A' on the second keyborad you get an 'A' in the computer as well. This is the way Rogerdodger use two keyboards. They do not increase the number of usable keys.

But if you use the HidMacros the macro recognize which 'A' is pressed, and you have twice keys compared to one keyboard.

But you have to learn how to program HidMacro, how FSUIPC is used, the fs9-SDK.

I wrote a SimpleCockpit manual but only in Swedish

A bit more expensive and with more hardware job is to use a Universal USB Interface by Leo Bodnar.

Here are som links:

SimpleCockpit: http://snell.se/cmsimplexh/index.php?Mina_projekt:Simple_Cockpit

Leo Bodnar: http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=94

If you don't have the FS9 SDK Google 'fs9 sdk download'.
