System32 Drivers

Using windows 7 64 bit .Using autoruns shows multiple raid, storport, and miniport 32 bit drivers from a variety of sources that are set to run at startup. They all have a file size of 0 bytes. While researching this I came across a forum post that stated that when a 32 bit application looks for a driver it is auto sent to the corresponding 64 bit driver. I have no raid drives installed. Is it safe to delete the files in question or are they necessary for the re-routing?

Leave 'em alone.

They do no harm being there and getting rid of them can only cause harm.

Win 7 includes a lot of "unused" components that are there as a sort of future proofing.

What you do not know is what other resources are dependent on them being there.

Getting rid of them will not help your FS performance at all.

Thanks for the advice. I will leave it alone. I had forgotten about "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
