abrussell Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Using windows 7 64 bit .Using autoruns shows multiple raid, storport, and miniport 32 bit drivers from a variety of sources that are set to run at startup. They all have a file size of 0 bytes. While researching this I came across a forum post that stated that when a 32 bit application looks for a driver it is auto sent to the corresponding 64 bit driver. I have no raid drives installed. Is it safe to delete the files in question or are they necessary for the re-routing? StringBean Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Leave 'em alone. They do no harm being there and getting rid of them can only cause harm. Win 7 includes a lot of "unused" components that are there as a sort of future proofing. What you do not know is what other resources are dependent on them being there.
