jorgen.s.andersen
I just tried googling "MSVCR80.dll", and a whole slew of explanations came up. There is a LOT to go through - try that. I run under 8.1 myself, but have never had any crashes. Jorgen
stinger2k2
Hi, I have just cured my random crashes. Have a think about anything that has changed recently to start the crashes. In my case I had changed my FSX settings and basically I was asking my system to do too much. If you haven't changed your settings then think about any new add-on that may have upped the workload. If you have been flying with it ok, and others do so with windows 8.1, then you need to isolate what has changed. Good luck as I know from experience that it can be very frustrating. thefrog
Many thanks to you both for your replies. I decided to reinstall FSX and so far it's working fine! Dave
