MattYUL
Hi guys, I bought a new cpu (laptop) not too long ago and I reinstalled FSX on it. I always played mainly with the keyboard and the mouse. But with this cpu, I can't seem to have it work properly. In the setup menu for all controls, everything is set to what I want and it doesn't work in the game. (ex: Incease or decrease throttle is F3 or F2; If I press on these key, it is the secondary fonction of my cpu (screen brightness) that is activated. And it is like that for all the keys for almost all functions. I have Windows 10 64 bits Family edition. Can anyone please help! Thanks in advance, Matt Edited March 6, 2019 by MattYUL

Serious, you just have to ask your computer store how to disable the background program which does the secondary voodoo. And get a joystick... il88pp
Here are two pages that explain how to set it the way you want. The first is from the HP site. For certain HP laptops. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Access-F1-F12-keys-without-holding-fn-key/td-p/6211998 The second link is for an explanation on the HowToGeek forum. This explains how to set it in various ways, and on laptops from various brands. https://www.howtogeek.com/235351/how-to-choose-whether-your-function-keys-are-f1-f12-keys-or-special-keys/ Hope that helps.:D Edited March 6, 2019 by il88pp [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
